My new window decal is FINALLY mounted! ••• You’re officially, “at the right place”! ••• It’s been just over 3 months since I relocated from Blank Canvas Salon in Ogden to Deluxe Beauty Lounge in Draper. ••• Contrary to popular belief, I am now CLOSER to my home. I don’t know very many people that live in the same city they work (excluding people whom work from home), yet so many assumed that I have lived in Ogden for the last 3 years 😇 ••• NOPE! ••• In relocating, my loyal and dedicated clients have so graciously supported me in my new location, and being that a huge percentage of my clientele being from out of state, being closer to the Airport is great news! 🥳🥳 ••• The right artist is NEVER too far away. Or Color??? ••• Hell, tell me WHY you have a preference because I LOVE learning more about my followers! ••• I wanted to share a random collection of my black and gray (or B & G) tattoos! ••• Some are gray shade (thinned down black ink with the clients skin being the negative space) and some are gray pigment (full saturation with the full value spectrum of grey opaques pigments). ••• Small background about me and black and gray artwork… I have been a pencil/graphite artists since I was a child. Only doing a handful of color mediums in jr high & high school. ••• It wasn’t until my 5th year tattooing that I really decided to dive deep into teaching myself color in tattooing. ••• The color wheel has always been a primary language of mine, so learning how to work with color in harmony was a lot of trial and error, and it’s now a style I love offering just as much as I do my black and gray! ••• Thank you for reading my post, don’t forget to vote for YOUR favorite! Hello! I’m Haylo! And I would like to RE-introduce myself! ••• I am a tattoo artist of 15 years experience specializing in photo realistic, large scale tattoo designs. ••• I recently relocated to a Beauty Lounge in Draper, Utah and I’m Seriously LOVING my space @deluxeutah !!! ••• I love my space, atmosphere, and being closer to home. ••• Relocating is never an easy task. Tattoo 101: Ink Migration. ••• What causes ink migration you ask? Black ink is derived from tiny carbon molecules that slowing migrate below the dermal layers as the tattoo ages, causing a “cloudy” appearance around black lines. ••• No, this is not preventable. However, the LARGER the script/lettering, the less noticeable the ink migration will be. ••••• Teeny-tiny script tattoos seem to fade “fast” due to the migration being much more evident due to the smaller sizing of the lettering. ••• I learned the science of ink migration during a college course I completed in 2019, and I educate ALL of my clients of ink migration, what it is, how it happens, and ways to avoid it becoming an issue in the long run of the life of the tattoo. ••••••• Yes I am HUGE on education in my profession, and that is why I require new clients to have a professionally conducted consultation prior to moving forward with their tattoo design, deposit, or scheduling. ••• I am very passionate about my profession, and educating my client of the “how” and “why” when it comes to tattooing is something I pride myself on, as I truly care about the livelihood, longevity and vibrancy of ALL of my clients tattoos. 🙏 -Love Hay’ •• ***NOT MY TATTOO IMAGE, I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS IMAGE.
