Author's notes: We're on the final stretch for June of Doom! Day 24 - I don't feel so good + disoriented + blurred vision + fainting

Last call

“Oi! Watch it. This suit is dry clean only.” 

You take an unsteady step back as the blurry outline in front of you whirls around, face twisted into a scowl. He’s holding something in his hand — a bottle? A drink?  Why can’t you seem to focus?

“Y’alright there, luv? One too many ta drink? Where’re your friends? Lemme get you back to ‘em.” The voice turns softer, more soothing. Warm hands settle on your bare arm, sending a tingle of warmth through the limb. You shake your head. You didn’t come with friends, did you? Then why would you have come to the club at all?“No, ya don’t want my help? Or no, ya didn’t come with friends?” he asks, an air of impatience tinging his tone. 

Your tongue feels thick in your mouth, as if it is too big and too dry. You rub it against the roof of your mouth, trying to make it stop feeling quite so strange. Who knew tongues could feel tingly? Has the roof of your mouth always had such a funny texture? All bumpy and fuzzy and—whoopsie! Did you just stick your tongue out at him? You’re pretty sure that you did. Judging by the look on his face, you’re pretty sure that you’re still doing it. 

You giggle. 

“Are you fuckin’ high right now? Fuck, why is it always me? Luv, oi! Eyes on me.” The hand around your forearm tightens. He snaps his fingers, a calloused hand gripping your chin. Serious eyes peer into yours, his lips pressing into a firm, displeased line. “Right. What’d you take? I’m not about to grass you up, but I need ta know if we’re gonna need a little trip to A&E, yeah?”

You shake your head and he lets out an irritated huff. The world around you spins, your stomach churning. 

“I don’t feel so good…”
