Amazing that injuries and deaths (any?) are minimal, telling me that evacuation orders are issued earlier, people are hearing them and acting instead of ignoring them, the first responders are doing their jobs really well. We learn our lessons, sometimes painfully, but we learn.
Getty fire: 500 acres, 0% containment, evacuation orders for 10,000 homes and commercial structure. Southbound 405 closed between the 101 Freeway and Sunset Blvd.

Tick Fire: 4,600 acres in Santa Clarita, 78% contained. 24 homes destroyed. Evacuation orders lifted.
Kincade Fire: 66,000 acres, 5% contained. 96 structures destroyed.

On early Monday, a fire erupted on a hillside near the Getty Center museum. Among the many Southern California residents who had to flee their homes was Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James. As a way of showing his appreciation to the firefighters and first responders who are battling the Getty Fire, he sent a taco truck to treat them to a warm meal.
