any thoughts on potential gewis wedding/engagement rings 💍👉✋

I am about to show my ass SO HARD in that masculine jewellery is something really new to me (I have 3 rings and like 5 bracelets and that is a big change 4 me) but I think I can make some educated guesses based on George and Lewis' general fashion

Starting with George because I KNOW he's going to keep it simple, he might have a slightly decorated band but he'd be unlikely to go for anything crazy- if theres gems in it it might be a couple diamond studs but I think he's much more likely to go for a simple flat ring with decorative banding like this

we can argue whether or not men should be experimenting more with stone and gem and intricate bands- and we should- but I'm telling you this is what GEORGE would default to cause he's new to more fashionable dress, and your wedding band should be something you want to wear comfortably and often if not always

I think Lewis is more likely to have diamonds or other white gems, because he likes them and they're a lot more common in black fashion. I still don't think he'd go crazy with it- your wedding band is a base to be added to, not something thats gonna restrict your outfits, but it would match his nose and ears.

I think he'd lean silver but MIGHT go gold if George did, or lewis is honestly more likely to have both a gold and a silver band he can alternate, or maybe even white gold

you might be going 'but these are so flat would lewis be that boring' but this is a band they're going to wear while racing (drivers are allowed to wear wedding rings under their gloves)- it needs to be non restrictive and something that won't catch while they're working, something that stays with them.

Lewis can always add more detailed rings to his outfits alongside this. If he were to still go simple but a little more intricate, I think these cross over bands would suit him, and hes worn rings similar to both these and the one above before (Miami ily)

I'm just gonna cover his racing in f1 haircuts bc you can't judge a kid for the haircuts his mum gave him. I too had a mum bowl cut, but my mother PAID for mine

From best to okay to worst. (As always these are opinions, if you like the ones I hate, you still love George, so we cool)

2021 - I LOVED his hair, I know so many people hate it but it's still my favourite. A little pomade or clay is not the enemy people. If I had known about George before I started shaving my head I would have shown this haircut to my hairdresser

Late 2019 - TWINK, smash, next question. No this one isn't this high bc I get a haircut like this shut up

2020 Georges hair started a little too close to the year before but by the end of the year look at this BABE, so twink, so fresh, I LOVE this

Early 2023- So lovely, WHEN he let it fluff out a bit, but not too much, made him look soft but still clean. when he gelled it it was a nightmare and far too long, but when he left it clean, it was smash

2022 I liked a lot- he let the quiff on top get a little long at points and it got a little cartoony, but for the most part he's cute and clean looking- love.

mid- Late 2023- beginning of the curtains, I hated it at the time cause George didn't know how to style it, but this look grew on me a lot and there were moments like vegas I actually loved it

Mid 2024 - When he finally started getting the sides and back trimmed up, and got a handle on what he wanted to do with the clark Kent curl, this hair grew on me! now if feels like part of his brand, and it looks clean and generally similar photo to photo. I like! It's masc but still playful and a little effeminate

mid to late 2024 bonus images where I just specifically like when it did this

2025 - now. She's good! She's classic! She's dependable! She's grown on me. There are still moments where it's too messy I don't love, and then vegas style moments where it's PERFECT. But most of the time its a solid look

Mid 2023 - Fluffy in-between phase, I liked it a lot! dangerously close to his 2019 bowl but still cute

The ones I actively dislike start here- everything above I am v fond of

Early 2019 - Bless you Barry Keogan looking ass- what is this George. Insane bc his ART 2018 haircut was lovely, but this is.... oh bugs.

Late 2023 - I hated this stage of his hair grow out, I know so many people who have this as their favourite but I couldn't stand it I'm sorry

Early 2024 - Hate, I hated this hair, I hated the curtains, I hated the middle part, I hated that this was his graphics photo ALL YEAR because it was his haircut at the start of season photos. I know he said it was because he was in between hairdressers but brother you are rich you could have found one. The only benefit to this haircut is it broke my streak of saving every single George photo I saw because I didn't want them on my phone, and saved my phone storage. It still had okay moments but he said he didn't know what to do with it and baby we can TELL

On the topic of marriage….how about Gewis wedding floral and fauna choices?

Now THIS is where I'm really going to struggle- My wife already knows (or she should know) I will be leaning Hard on her for floral arrangements when we marry because I don't have strong opinions on flowers. George is almost certainly the same I think.

Based on the Met Lewis co chaired he's clearly not opposed to White florals when they have meaning, and his floral outfits are super varied (floral balaclava... I haven't forgiven you), so it really could be anything, but I expect they're going to lean into a more..modern and formal wedding style. Like Lewis' seems to be attached to some level of traditionalism so he can play with it, so I think things might be heavy with meaning, but they aren't necessarily.. game changing? y'know? I can see him going with a blander flower like white or light pink and having it be a backdrop to darker stronger colours as a part of meaning

though I have said these should be their wedding outfits since I first saw them, so a soft pink to go with it might fit. Throw a tie and nicer shoes on George, take of lewis' sunglasses and sub the black pants for grey or pink- done. Though his met outfit ALSO would make a killer wedding suit

Dori, kimi & Fred are the gewis children no? Sooooo, fic idea where dori is struggling to come to terms with her feelings for abbi & gewis supporting her through it all? Wholesome siblings bonding? Family fluff? Lesbian Angst? ( give me ALL THE LESBIAN ANGST🌚🌚)

Yeah, anyways. I'm just gonna leave this here.....

Jenn you can in fact shoot me for losing this in my asks and not answering until now- I could try to explain why but I have no idea what happened...

but YES I love this- I try hard for realistic character behaviour in my fic but sometimes I do just love something silly and ridiculous as my little Gewis family of four and Dori trying and failing to explain why 'no no its different' when it comes to explaining why she can't just ask Abbi out when her parents are also two queer people in a hidden relationship But also, to be me, there is a really strong plausible angst moment here- While Doriane and Fred clearly look up to Lewis and George, and Lewis will know the experience a little closer than George- None of them can ever understand what it feels like to be a woman, or a lesbian, how it is different. Doriane can seek advice, but some of it is just never going to fit her, especially her precarious position in the sport and how she hangs so close to losing her ability to follow her dream at all times.

When you're facing that, being so close to tipping over the edge, doing anything to rock the boat (such as being publicly outed) feels like you might as well be throwing yourself off of it. Lewis must get some of it, being the first black man in the sport, He might not have even figured out he liked men for years into that, but by the time he meets George and then gets with him, whatever timeline you use, he's built most of his legacy so rock solid that while being outed would shake him...it wouldn't take all of that away.

Dori hadn't even been allowed to start building.

George certainly can give advice but he's a man, while being outed would be bone shaking for his career, the likelihood he'd survive is pretty high. Doriane doesn't have that- and then even if George and Lewis are well meaning, even if they're pretty good at giving that advice, they're also older, even 6 years apart for George and Dori can be huge in terms of F1, they don't get how the landscape has changed- and Fred is closer, but he's also a white guy, while he's not as well off as some drivers families, He's never been in the position Dori was in, not truly.

It must be exhausting and so Isolating, to be stuck like that even inside a family of people trying to help you, knowing theres a wall you have to climb over alone and none of them can tell you whats on the other side, even if they tell you you need to... how do you take on that climb.

I don't have a fix for that, and while I was raised as a girl I took a different route out- not easier, just different- so I can't fully imagine how she'd feel... but Abbi probably would. I like thinking about that y'know, the pair of them finding closeness in being the only people who understand what they're experiencing. While pining at each other.
