Evening Prayer - 20 Jun 2026

I didn’t get to much of today’s rehearsal, God, but I sure am glad I went. Singing with these guys, even for a little while is so refreshing, so life-giving. And the day was gloriously beautiful.

The morning meeting was wonderful; I learned a lot. I was able to get some administrative stuff done, which was helpful. The sermon finally gelled. And each of those is reason enough to give you thanks. Truth be told, however, I am most grateful for that snippet of rehearsal I got to and the drive on a beautiful day. For that I give you my deepest thanks. Amen.

Concert 1 went well and I’m grateful for that, God. And I’m grateful for the people who worked on my church’s Pride Fair booth today. And I’m grateful that Pepper is preaching tomorrow. And I’m grateful that I am organized enough to not be overly stressed out tonight! Amen.

For a wonderful session with my peers where our listening, questioning, and reflecting empower our continued work in building your realm, O God, thank you. For the joy of singing music, and for the joy of singing it well and meaningfully for an appreciative audience, thank you. For the efforts the leadership of my chorus have taken to keep all of us—singers and audience members—safe during our concert run, thank you. Amen.
