Elena was used to these kinds of events, when she started to get more recognition as an actress, gala and party invites were sent to her quite often, and when she became a successful producer as well, they turned to be part of her routine. Since she had just moved to New York, she knew almost nobody (at least personally) at the event, so she stuck to her table until someone approached her.
“You know, I’m starting to think we’re throwing those parties just to distract us.” Jackson’s voice danced over at the other as he dropped into the spot nearest to the other boy, his cup full of ambrosia as he took a little sip of from the cup. Jackson, was, rather ironically, for Halloween wearing a simple white bed sheet toga. If there was any time to lean into the whole Greek god demi-god thing? It was on Halloween. Still with music flowing though the whole field between the cabins and even the nymphs and centaurs apparently having fun tonight, the whole situation was taking on a rather nice...fun if a bit spooky with the bonfire lighting up the night sky. Not to mention the various creatures they’d all been fighting for those candy corns.
“So, gotta say, this is by far the weirdest if strangest Halloween party I’ve ever gone too. How about you?” There was Jackson’s normal, flirty, warm tone as he took a little sip of his drink, enjoying the booze running though him.
Mary slid into the corner booth, still brushing the November chill from her sleeves as the café door swung shut behind her. The city's noise faded into the espresso machines and quiet conversations.
“Sorry I’m late,” she said as she loosened her scarf. “It’s been… a week.” The gleam of her wedding band caught the light when she reached for her coffee.
She leaned forward, eyes bright. “So. Where should we even start?”

Mary was still a little buzzed for the little party she had before coming to the big one, thrown by Gossip Girl, she wouldn't miss it, she wasn't crazy and it was Christmas themed, Mary was just hoping that for the day GG would turn a blind eye to her and her friends and let them party at ease. Without realizing someone came up to her, she smiled. " Hey, how are you liking the party so far?" @ggstarterblog
She laughed as she watched her friends from the distance as she walked to get a drink, pumpkin something. "I'm showing Gossip girl I'm not actually knocked up, yes!" She replied as the person next to her kept looking at her up and down.

"After a trip around Europe, this is a bit much... even for Gossip Girl. I had to burrow all of this." Mary said to the masked person next to her.
