I'm catching up on GH and to Rory doesn't seem like a good guy hated how let everyone in prison know about him and who was protecting him seemed like a dick move to me and one that could get him hurt.

Yeah, I thought it would lead to a bigger #sprina moment for the fans. Spencer had gotten hurt because Rory made it known that he had a "cop friend" who "looked out for him". Trina finds out about it, makes her realize her feelings for Spencer never went away, only got stronger and then she finds out Spencer is hurt because of Rory and ends things.

The entire Rory "relationship" just seemed like...a waste of time

Oh and I have a question does Trina never visit him in prison or jail can never tell the difference of them but if she never does visit him that's so sad.
