It was just pleasantly warm (but not lukewarm)--when it's teabags and not loose tea I tend to get lazy and just use the hot water from my water cooler, which never really reaches boiling to begin with.

Fucker didn't even seem to notice.

OH NO THAT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION. I haven't really considered myself to have a best friend since I graduated high school, when my best friend through high school and middle school moved several states away and we barely ever talked again. AND THAT WASN'T ALL ON HER I was definitely half of this barely talking equation but the point is I have a few good friends but probably won't consider anyone my best friend unless we're already close and the other person is just like "yo we're best friends k." I feel I've made a lot of good friends online--like I talk to Mika a lot, I talk to you a HELLA LOT, and haus and I hang out when time allows, and I hang out with one of the three friends I still have in town on a fairly regular basis, but I DON'T KNOW. Best friend is such a mysterious thing to me right now... (This is such a copout answer sorry)

I am such a fickle beast when it comes to music, I swear. Um...the Pacific Rim main theme is probably going to be stuck in my head for the next year at least, predictably enough. Domino by Jessie J and D City Rock from Panty and Stocking almost always make me smile, as do A Promise from the Avengers soundtrack and Thor Kills the Destroyer...those are probably the top answers I can think of right now!

12. What turns you away the most from a fic?

Where first impressions are concerned, like most people I would say formatting/grammar. After that I generally start getting edgy when any one character starts getting lauded or vilified beyond what they canonically deserve, I guess?

14. What tropes/elements/scenarios get you the worst?

Hmmm, this is a little tough because I just naturally enjoy well-written angstfic, so there's a fine line between things that will make me rub my hands together in anticipation and things that will actually make me cry. And some things fall on both sides of the line. I guess the biggest things would be deathfic, hopelessness/helplessness, rejected redemption, and people who destroy themselves.

32. Favorite AU tropes?

I'm a big fan of any AU (but I guess mostly high school what with it being the most popular) with a lot of parallels to canon. I have discovered the hard way that apparently there is such a thing as TOO many parallels, but generally I prefer it when the setting is made to fit the characters I know and love rather than the other way around. (Putting nerd!Loki and quarterback!Thor into high school is cute, but putting teenage, hormonal THOR AND LOKI into high school is GOLDEN. If, uh, that makes any sense whatsoever.)

42. Least favorite fluffy tropes?

I don't know! I'm generally not much of a fluff person, really, so I guess I don't think about it. I guess I would say...absence of a humorous element? Because I'm generally reading for some pretty destructive relationships, so I usually need some level of snark or levity to help me transition to the softer side, so to speak.

I'm uh. Kind of a sadist where fictional characters are concerned a lot of the time. Whoops.
