Oh wow. Apparently the mortar and pestle Lorath has in his cabin (the healer's tools you can interact with) is originally Akara's (the Priestess from Diablo 2)

He got it from Kadala (fun fact, Lorath found her attractive in D3. There's an idle banter where Tyrael asks why Lorath keeps staring over at Kadala, which flusters Lorath.)

He reiterates his former interest here. And it such a sweet gesture from her, giving him this as an encouragement to heal, not just kill. (And given that she's 1. Gheed's daughter and 2. also a merchant who sells at high prices, giving Lorath a priceless artifact like this for free is a big deal)
