I just realized Ghil'anain is probably monstrous because she experimented on herself as well.

@thebearmuse the old post was so long I thought I'd start another. The passage is from Horror of Hormak in Tevinter Nights, just before entering ghil's laboratory. Supplicant(s), Queen, and monster?

ok so Corypheus was trying to be a new God, right?

so what if he knew through history or through seeing things in dreams that Gods in the past all had archdemons, and that was his whole logic of geting the red lyrium dragon as his false archdemon

Now that we know that Ghil'anain has "her archdemon" it suggests that maybe the type of dragons that, when blighted, are archdemons connects in some way to godhood

We had to kill Corypheus's dragon before we could kill him

I think the Evanuris might be immortal in any case (Solas sealed them away rather than killed them, and look at Mythal) but it seems like their power, their godhood, and the blight are all connected at this point in history

I think it's pretty clear now that Ghil'anain and Andruil were lovers

ok so I've seen people saying in the last few days that Ghil'anain and Andruil as a romantic couple is unconfirmed, that Ghil being the "beloved" of Andruil could have many possible meanings

and I do still think it's not absolutely 100%, but this panel from the last comic combined with the gameplay trailer's reveal that the one with the arch on her head is Ghil'anain seems very indicative

I think that this panel is meant to be the reveal that yes they were a romantic couple
