Gerry Keay for a Gala event I did with some folks last year. Him and his date went for a sunrise and sunset theme. I actually picked their outfit colors based on photos from roundabout they lived. As altitude and a bunch of other factors can change how sunrises and sunsets look. Both him and Champagne are artists so they painted flowers on one another. Gerry got little sleeping flower buds that close in the evenings. He is that color because this is Gerry as a ghost. So his roots and eye tattoos are all fiery as well. This is @alumbianchronicler's concept of him that I drew for them. The outfit was very much inspired by the mage verse designs @occudo had because they were all truly very gender and delightful and I loved them.

hello may i humbly request information about ghost gerry au? 👀👀

Omg yes you may! I honestly didn’t expect anyone to notice that random ramblings post xD. (Mossy you are such a sweetheart I can’t)

So I can’t claim full credit for the idea, @pocketsizedquasar and I came up with it together! The general premise is that when Jon burns Gerry’s page, it doesn’t actually release him, and instead binds his full being, as a ghost, to Jon. (As we know the book Gerry wasn’t their full self, and it hurt for them to exist. This changes that). I only realized after my most recent relisten that he burns it like the day before the Unknowing, but my plan was that before Jon ‘dies,’ Gerry fades in and out a lot, and Jon is the only thing really binding him to existence. He struggles to stay ‘visible,’ and when he is, only Jon can see him. But after the Unknowing, that changes. Since the Catalogue of the Trapped Dead is an artifact of the End, Jon’s death makes Gerry more...real? Gerry and Oliver also get to chat. He can exist more fully and other people can see him. He has much more control over when/if he’s visible too. Ensue shenanigans!

I have about 4.5 pages written so far, and am struggling a bit to not...go line by line from the transcript for the Unknowing. It obviously isn’t copy paste, but there’s too many areas that I want to have Gerry say something but...that’s a problem for future Gray. I do have a general outline, and I know where I want the ending to be. I don’t really write for fun and I’ve certainly never written fanfic before, so this is definitely gonna be an experience! I’m also not a great writer, but this is meant to be for fun! So I’ll do my best. I’m primarily an artist so I don’t get a ton of time for writing, but I’m hoping to get some more time to work on it in the coming weeks. If I ever get around to posting it on Ao3 I will of course post updates here!

But thank you so much for asking! I just got really inspired and planned out a huge elaborate fanfic because I love Gerry and think he should’ve gotten more time to interact with Jon.
