So I asked forever ago if it was okay to make some tattoo flash for @hellofromthehallowoods and I had an absolute blast coming up with these designs! This is the last Wednesday before the return of my beloved Hallowoods Wednesdays so I thought it was the perfect time to share!

2. What sort of music would they like? Have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? Do they have a favorite song?

Okay I may be biased BUT I DO GENUINELY THINK Juniper would LOVE the Crane Wives. Curses is THE Juniper song so. Yeah. I think they'd like a lot of indie/folk and maybe a little rock here and there (definitely not Metal's influence nope no way)

11. What do they have in common with you? How are they different? Would you get along with them?

SO FUN FACT Juniper started as my self insert ponysona like FOREVER ago (also with a different name) and they technically started as my fursona. While I do think nowadays they're different enough to be their own character, we still have a lot of similarities. We love stuffies, prefer the cold, have Family Issues TM, care deeply for our friends and chosen family, a bit jumpy and easily startled, have big ears, the list could go on. I think we'd get along okay! But I don't think we'd be quite as close as some of my other characters simply because we could very easily bring out the worst in each other.

23. How would you describe their voice? Can they sing?

THEY CAN SING and quite well! They're quite sheepish about it (and yeah I want them to sing because I love musicals, sue me) but they love to do it when they can. They used to sing a lot with their family as a child, so it always reminds them of home. Their voice is sing-songy, and very mid-range tone wise. I really need to voice claim my characters 😭

1. Are they associated with a certain color? What color do they wear most?

PINK PINK PINK!!! Her favorite color and what she wears basically 90% of the time. However she also wears browns and some pops of green! As a druid her arm bands that channel her magic are green, and she makes a lot of her clothes so most colors are what she can find. But she does always prefer pink!

10. If they wear jewelry, what kind? Do they prefer silver or gold? Do they have a favorite gem?

Rose likes both, though she doesn't wear a ton! She likes making her own jewelry when she can though! And she doesn't have any major gem preferences since she uses a lot of them for different things, but she has a soft spot for Rose Quartz, it does bare her name partially!

34. How would your character describe themselves? It doesn't have to line up with how they really are.

She would probably think of herself as sweet but meek, too shy and a bit complacent. She thinks of herself as a bit weak, but intelligent and extremely caring.

3. Weapon of choice? Any particular reason they chose their weapon?

Her sword! She's trained in several weapons, but her sword is her favorite. She'd say it's mostly because it makes her feel coolest but if she's being honest, before Rose asked her out, commissioning swords was a great reason to go talk (flirt) with the local blacksmith :)

19. Are they quick to anger? What sets them off?

She doesn't get angry over just anything, but she IS quick to anger if she's set off. Going through her training gave her a thicker skin, but of my OCs she is definitely the quickest to anger. Digs at her friends or family, her strength, her appearance or any perceived 'failure' will piss her off pretty quickly.

21. Their favorite place to be?

Oh no question, at Rose's cottage with her and Mel. That's where she feels happiest and most at home. 💖

33. If applicable, how would your other characters describe them? I mean specifically the people around them

Ooh, I like this one! Definitely quiet, but assertive. A jack of all trades, bold, but intensely compassionate and kind. Probably the most dependable of my characters, and very confident in herself! Honestly with their mom Mel's pretty well adjusted compared to everyone else xD

4. How crafty/resourceful are they?

Very! Mel doesn't have much to do other than read, so she has a lot of small skills to draw upon when needed. She usually isn't an expert but can help the best they can when needed. She's clever and can usually talk their way out of trouble when necessary too.

English fluently, Japanese conversationally, beginner at ASL, Drueidan, and Vampiric! The last one they are mostly learning for reading purposes, she currently doesn't know other vampires to speak with.

6. How do they wear their hair? Do they care a lot how their hair looks?

Rose usually wears her hair down! She's one of those people just blessed with beautiful hair that requires minimal effort so she doesn't do a ton of upkeep. She likes it looking neat but isn't overly concerned with how it looks, though she is very attached to it as she uses it as her security blanket. Part of her face is always obscured by some of it! It's a source of great comfort and safety to feel it on her face.

24. Do they have any creative hobbies (art, writing, music, etc) ?

She absolutely loves baking! And she can sing quite well! Her favorite things to bake are brownies and cookies but every so often she gets in the mood to decorate a cake too! She also does a lot of building and inventing in her free time outside of being a blacksmith as well!

35. Do they ever return home?

OH WE'RE ASKING SPOILER QUESTIONS NOW That's definitely up in the air, but she does return to help her friends fight, so take that as you will :)

8. Do they have a nickname? Who gave it to them? If it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?

SO FUN FACT Metal's actual name is Helena! But almost no one calls her that xD Metal is her former (pony) name, really exposing myself here, and started because her true passion is singing and guitar, and she specializes in heavy metal music. Canonically, she would probably get it during knight training but I haven't quite ironed out those details yet. Oops!

10. If they wear jewelry, what kind? Do they prefer silver or gold? Do they have a favorite gem?

Metal probably wears the most jewelry out of any of my characters! Yes most of it is body jewelry. She's a silver girl alllll the way. She loves spiked jewelry as well, and definitely wears some fun chokers when outside of her armor! Gem wise, she loves topaz, sapphires and rubies! I think most of these gems are whatever matches the characters colors schemes since most of my OCs don't know a ton about gems.

30. Do they smell like anything notable?

Metal LOVES the smell of cocoa butter and has to do a ton of skin care so. Cocoa butter campfire? Which sounds like a candle of some kind.

Definitely magenta and gold! He definitely is dressed in those most often! And some pale purple as well 💖

11. What do they have in common with you? How are they different? Would you get along with them?

Ooh, I like this question! I think our senses of humor are similar, and we both definitely have a strong affinity for bright colors, chocolates, and cute plushies! We also both have a small group of friends that we care deeply for 💖 Differences wise, Elvenna is MUCH better at science, mathematics and engineering than me. She also actually likes cooking where I. Do not. And obviously they can use magic! I think we could be friends!! At least I would want to be their friend but HOPEFULLY he would feel the same xD

22. Do they sleep well at night?

Elvenna can be a bit of a worrier, especially at night! She's a light sleeper, so it's pretty easy to wake faer. Another person nearby helps them sleep though 💖

23. How would you describe their voice? Can they sing?

Elvenna can sing a little! He isn't the most skilled at it but enjoys it for the most part! I don't have a voice claim yet but I imagine Elvenna's voice would be a bit deep but bright! Almost ethereal sounding. I don't know how to describe voices 😭

4. How crafty/resourceful are they?

Depends on the situation! In a fight, very! They can come up with a solution and commit to it on the fly quite quickly, they're very decisive and good at finding new ways to use their magic (and their wings) to their advantage! Larger problems they struggle with, they pay attention to a lot of little details and can get overwhelmed super easily when it comes to dealing with it all. Luckily, especially after meeting some good folks, they get a LOT better at asking for help when they need it.

19. Are they quick to anger? What sets them off?

In the beginning, not at all. They tend to get upset, hurt, or frustrated before they ever get to anger and it takes a lot over a long period to get them there. However, when they start healing a bit and getting a better support system, they start feeling angrier more often and they really struggle dealing with that! Threats to their friends and family, and any mention of Glaciea can set them off pretty easily though.

34. How would your character describe themselves? It doesn't have to line up with how they really are.

Ngl this one made me think! I think Juniper at their core feels inadequate. They couldn't save their home or their family, they don't feel qualified to be the leader everyone expects them to be. They feel they've let down their father, and they aren't powerful enough to stop either of their biggest enemies. They would probably think of themself as scared, helpless, and inadequate. Though if someone asked, they'd probably say the opposite.

Mel loves a lot of classical music! They can play several instruments, violin being one of her favorites, and tend to gravitate towards music they could also play. Once she starts dating Metal and Rose they get more into some heavier rock and some more indie/folk music too! Mel probably wouldn't have a favorite song because she'd say it's too hard to choose!

5. How do they typically dress? Does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?

Oh Mel is my dark academia ICON. Though she does love her purples, they wear lots of button downs, long skirts, her glasses even have a funky chain! Literally anything you'd find under a dark academia pinterest board is something Mel would probably LOVE. And I mean hey if you're the head of a magical maybe slightly evil library, why not?

Mel doesn't wear much jewelry, simply because no silver for my vampire! However her glasses are mostly gold, and amethysts and rubies are her favorite! Purple and red are their favorite colors.
