The old Petersham Railway Station (1886). The grandest of the original stations in the Inner West on the Main Western line. Station no longer in use; a new one was built on the other side of the six tracks running through here when tramway services were ended in 1961. Now used as a State Rail training facility. All magnificent towering Gums (mainly ghost gums but I'm happy to be corrected) are within 400m of my flat, mainly in Adelaide parklands but quite a few are street gums.

Our gum trees can now be found world wide from Israel to Spain, USA (California is, I believe pre-eminant) and elsewhere [FILL THIS IN FOR ME PLEASE].

I doubt however that anywhere could match this collection on my doorstep in a suburban setting.
