Q: what are some good ghost names?
I wanted to work Anne Boleyn in somehow, but I ran out of room.
My suggestion is that you can either simply use the name of actual historical figures (Adolf, Pruneface, Caspar Weinberger), since they’re safely dead, or you can go Treehouse of Horror and turn everything into a bad pun: Bat Groening, Ghoulie Keven, Hallowian Maxtone-graham … the choice, as they say, is yours.

People make fun of Danny for making his ghost name so similar to his human name but every other ghost is the exact same. For example:
Ember McLain, living name Amber McLain. Only one letter changed.
Johnny 13 literally just kept his first name and replaced his last name with an old nickname. This is canon. He says it himself.
Walker, living name John Walker. He just got rid of his first name.
Technus, full name is canonically Nicolai Technus. He also just got rid of his first name and called it a day.
Kitty. Living name: Katherine “Kate” Gray. Origin of ghost name: An old nickname Johnny gave her when they were alive.
Sydney Poindexter, living name Sydney Poindexter. He didn’t even bother to change his name, which means that he’s either fearless or incredibly stupid.
The only ghosts (that used to be alive) with actually good names that hide their identities are:
Vlad Masters, who’s ghost name, Plasmius, has nothing to do with him.
Youngblood, human name Tobias McLain. He uses a name unrelated to his former identity because he doesn’t remember his life and Bones told him that picking a name unrelated to his life was safer than using his original name.
Spectra, real name unknown. She not only uses names that are unrelated to her past or identity, but frequently changes her name so no one, human or ghost, can find her.
Amorpho, human name also unknown. They picked a name unrelated to their identity for the same reasons as Youngblood. They don’t remember their life and using an unrelated name is much safer than using their original name.
The Box Ghost, living name Edward Boxton. He picked The Box Ghost as his name because he was driven slightly insane by his obsession and wasn’t in the best place of mind when he was thinking of a name for himself.

Virva - f (Finnish) will-o-wisp, ghostfire. In many folklores a will-o-the-wisp is an eerie fire-like light that appears over water at night and leads travelers astray. These have since been explained to be a non-spooky phenomena caused by natural gas. "Will-o-the-wisp" also is used to refer to an unrealistic hope, or something that is fleeting or intangible.
