Ghost Queen Sam with a Space Core AU!

My final coloring for the Green With Envy Event! Thanks @occasionally-intelligent for the line art!!!

This bad boy is actually half digital, half tranditional! The background was done on a canvas with joint compound, sand, spray paint and acrylic, then color-shifted and enhanced with phone filters. Then Sam, herself, was done entirely digital, using overlain textures from the background!

It was a lot of fun to do and I'm really proud of this it! 😀

I've never done spray paint art before so it was a challenge. But I found some tutorials online and picked and chose techniques.

I made two versions because I wasn't sure which I liked better.

Really dumb Ghost King Danny addition: Ghost “Queen” Sam except they’re both still in high school.

Danny doesn’t really vibe with the whole king thing but Sam takes it as an opportunity to indulge in The Drama of it All even though she doesn’t really have much power in the Ghost Zone’s eyes bc she and Danny aren’t married.

Sorry for a weird set up but I just got this thing in my head.

Some ghost: uh…I need to see the king.

Sam, on a throne but she’s dressed like she always is: he’s out.

SG: …out?

Sam: yeah he’s taking the SAT

SG, blinking in bewilderment at this point: and you…

Sam: took them junior year.

SG: …

Sam: …

SG: …

Sam: that doesn’t really do much for you does it

SG: no.

Okay but an au where overgrowth showed up early and it took longer to beat him without ice powers.

So Sam has more ectoplasm in her and eventually gets powers.

Then when Pariah showed up, she was the one to kick his ass.
