who would you be in JATP?
ok i was tagged by the amazingly talented @oozing-chemistry!! thank you SO MUCH for the tag, this took me sooo long but i’m really proud of it!!
so i imagine myself to be dirty candi’s social media manager - i was recruited by kayla because i was in her art class and she noticed how i had a knack for putting collages together. the girls had just started performing at school but they wanted to put themselves out there to more than just their classmates, so kayla introduced me to carrie and the girls saying she thought i’d be able to help promote them so managers would take notice. the girls liked the way i put collages together and thought that implementing that into social media could make them stand out (and you know how much they love to stand out). so i go with them to all their rehearsals, performances, trips, fittings, and basically just follow them everywhere.
i start capturing content of everything they do to post on youtube, instagram and twitter (no one uses facebook anymore), and start to build a following. there becomes demand for a website since, as carrie says, “everyone who’s anyone has one of those, duh sophie”, so i put one together where we can share group news and performance updates. i love website design, and putting it together is one of the most fun parts of my week.
i’m one of the few that gets to see carrie’s softer side - at first she would snap at me if she didn’t like something that i was doing, but once she learns she can trust me and that i have her and the group’s best interests in mind, she softens a lot and starts asking me to hang out outside of work hours. she opens up to me about her relationship with nick, and how she mostly just keeps him around because they’re seen as a “power couple,” but she actually kind of has a crush on flynn (but i can never tell ANYONE or else i’m fired and shunned for life), since flynn is now managing julie and her hologram band’s socials, i sometimes subtly ask her for input on pictures of carrie that i’m going to put on the website to see how she reacts - it’s usually met with a “whatever,” but i see her taking little glimpses after she goes back to what she’s doing.
