No Big Deal makes me lose it every time!!! That song is criminally underrated. It’s got the sense of tension, drama and desperation in it that drew me to Interpol in the first place. I love Paul’s vocals in the chorus and at the end of the song, and the guitars are so ominous and all-consuming too— ugh, what a song. Now I have to go listen to it! 🎵
Yes!! You described why I love that song so perfectly. It definitely feels very dramatic and desperate (and a bit menacing, maybe?). Plus the last minute goes off, I always end up replaying the song.
