Okay so this is a big assumption on my part, but you're looking to make x-stitch patterns, there's a free online tool called Stitch Fiddle that's really good! I only say bc I know you've been getting into x-stitch and I did the same when I was starting to make my own patterns :)

yeah I’ve tried out stitch fiddle! I wasn’t making the flower for cross stitch reasons tho I was just bored at work haha

If you send the puck down to the goal line without first skating it to the center line, and there is no chance of you being able to get to the puck before it gets to the other end, then it's an icing and has to come back into your defensive zone. Basically if you lob it straight from your defensive zone to your offensive zone without going through centre. It's to stop lazy play, like just clearing it if your defence gets into trouble. Hope that makes sense.
