Ghost Elephant Monday! Every Monday I have been trying to post the main character from the forth coming Fishboy album and comic, and the last few Monday's I have missed it by a couple of minutes.

Recording Diary Day 3/ghost elephant monday:

I got to the studio a little before noon, we are recording once again at the Echolab in Argyle. This is the third album we've recorded at this studio (Albatross and Classic Creep, also the Nom EP) so we are very comfortable with the place. I tracked three acoustic guitar tracks and then moved on to vocals. After finishing a couple of songs I moved back to acoustic guitar and performed the album's final song in one take (!!) I then went back to recording vocals and wrapped around 11:00. We then backed up tracks and made rough mixes to practice and brainstorm with throughout the week. We originally had four days booked this weekend but were so prepared and rehearsed that we only needed three. Next weekend Adam (Sweatpants) flies in from San Francisco to collaborate with additional overdubs and mixing. Things are sounding amazing so far. This is on track to be a fantastic album.

I'm posting a different ghost elephant every week to practice/prep for the new Fishboy album/book that we'll be in the studio recording in less than a month!
