in a 10 things i hate about you stony AU, who is kat and who is patrick

OH NO

It could really go either way, but my sticking point is that Steve wouldn’t take on Patrick’s wager like that for any reason, even if he needed the money... SO I GUESS that makes him Kat, because Kat’s all about being stubborn and outspoken on social justice, and is protective of her younger sibling.

Tony wouldn’t need the money either unless he’s in dire straits, but I could see him taking on the task for other reasons, maybe to help a friend or because he’s secretly rooting for whoever it is who wants to date Steve’s sibling, and of course the task is only a temporary thing and everyone knows that Steve’s a tough one who’d bounce back from anything and won’t really fall for Tony because it’s just two people having a bit of fun BUT THEN!

Cause they’re both misunderstood outcasts, they quickly bond and snark at each other until they learn to snark at other people and oh no the other person is actually really nice and funny and cool to hang out with underneath and oops FEELINGS

Oh and yes let’s have Steve flash his tiddies to get Tony out of detention.

if they react negatively that’s genuinely their problem and they need to get over it. it’s important for friends/family/people in general to validate others in how they feel or at least hear them out.

I don’t think it’s the final episode either it’s probably the midseason finale

Oh god no, not the series finale, it's S4E8 and we’re confirmed to have 21 episodes. Every single listing is a 22 minute episode and every split listing is a normal A/B episode, so we’re getting 44 minutes per week. This seems rather early for a midseason finale by normal standards - wonder if this means 4B will run until ep 17 or so and we'll have a BFM-like grand finale?

I think if they like…had episode seven before episode 8 it would have like…made the scene even better but keeping her off screen until the very, very end helped

do you mean episode 7 after episode 8?

i think the entire chicago sub-plot needed to be thrown out the window completely, but i could possibly see that change being a bit better. like, as is -- you knew El was coming back to Hawkins, so her showing up didn’t have quite the same effect...

basically, i’m going to take this entire second season and re-edit the order of things and eliminate the chicago stuff and then i’ll be good.
