omg thank you for explaining why bill made her take out her contact lenses i never understood.

yes, totally!!! to be honest, i never thought of it as much except for giving her the false hope that she could be "one of them". that she could take away the lenses and still expect to live. but my mom's take on "making her look like a monster" is also equally true and like, dang.... it makes it even more heartbreaking, which i didn't think was possible

i stopped wearing socks in the house when i fell down the hardwood stairs.

okay, admittedly, when i'm in socks, i actually hold the railing when i'm descending the hardwood stairs two stairs at a time (although a better phrasing would be "vault using the railing") or descend one at a time

still zip upwards two stairs at a time hands-free though.

now, when i'm barefoot, i can ascend three stairs at a time. i could in my shoes too, but that would be too loud.

i always limit descent to two stairs though - a three stair descent isn't stable. i will jump final stairs though; usually four, although i've done six, and even eight once or twice. limit four in socks.
