I can totally see what you mean with Smokys design being kind off, I think they kind of look less fat and more like the blueberry girl from willy wonka. Fat has rolls and weight but they just look like they ate a balloon. The third arm throws me for a loop, like it's fine if it's coming from the elbow but the lack of symmetry irks me. Also I use they for Stevonnie and Smoky Quartz cause I assume a girl/boy fusion would be considered a they? Who knows really.
Ah gotcha —And wow yes i completely agree dude the comparison to the blueberry girl is perfect. The design shape is so awkward but not in a seemingly purposeful way. They could’ve easily kept Amethyst and Steven’s stocky/fatter designs since their body types are essentially the same but instead it seems like an off-looking weight combination of the two that feels less like a fat character and more like a weird orb with appendages
