POV Sherlock Holmes, Mutual Pining, Fluff and Angst, Angst with a Happy Ending, Love Confessions, Pub Night Out, One Shot, John calls sherlock love, What did you call me?, Podfic Length: 20-30 Minutes
I received a surprise today in the form of a podfic gift!! I'm so delighted by this telling of the story and how perfect the timing is to what I heard in my head when writing it! <3 tysm, Ghostie!!! 🥹🫶😭 *happy tears*
'Sherlock was used to John getting his girlfriends mixed up, sure. He just wasn't used to being included IN that bunch...'
This guy with those ears all defended
Has gracious modes, haters upended
Sends cards, sets up prompts
Makes jokes, writes up romps
And makes me feel nicely befriended.
Thank you @helloliriels for this great blinged-out auction advertisement art!!!
It's Fandom Trumps Hate time again! Don't forget to sign up if you are an interested creator!
I'm leaning into my latest obsession this year and offering three podfics in the Sherlock or Dead Boy Detectives fandoms:
A short one of less than 1,000 words
A medium one of 1,000 to 5,000 words
A longish one up to 10,000 words (None of them are really long compared to the penguin epic, but hey.)
Feel free to browse my portfolio of amateur stuff on Ao3 and on Audiofic Archive to get idea of what I do. This is going to be so much fun. :)
Relevant info for all three offerings below the cut:
Ratings can range from G to barely E. I only include E to allow for the odd physically romantic interlude, but I am not interested in recording PWP or very anatomically oriented works. We will have to agree on the work before recording commences.
We need permission from the author of the fic if at all possible. If the author says no, we must choose another fic. If the author has disappeared and we've done a good faith search, I will consider it. If you're the author, w00t we're golden.
The auction winner may choose to have a short, clean dedication or memorial recorded with the podfic. Again, we will have to agree on the wording.
You can have options if you want them regarding whether or not to include accents that aren't my own (Mature Female, Midwestern USA), music, the charity you will support, whether you'd like a different file format in the end, and anything else that comes up so that you are happy with the result!
Heelllllooooo folks! There is so much to be thankful for amidst the Horrors, and one of those things is that I can enjoy sharing this fic with you all. The next three chapters are ready, and I'll put up the 5-chapter concatenated file next week for those who prefer a longer listen with fewer introductions. Almost a fifth of the way through!
Chapter 13: Hui (Meeting) the aftermath of the seal attack
Chapter 14: Anahe (Only) teenage clarifications
Chapter 15: Whaiāipo (In Love) teenage, uh, *clarifications*
As usual, let me know if you want on or off the tag list. Take care, everyone.
I cannot believe that this hasn't been recorded before! I hope you enjoy this reading of @totallysilvergirl 's wonderful short story "The Grit on the Lens". John gets to teach Sherlock something about himself, and they both win. You can listen to it on a03 here!
Better hurry! I've got bids on all three, so if you want to get your own bespoke podfic from me AND donate to a great cause, hop on it now! I'm offering Sherlock and Dead Boy Detectives this year. So far I've got two at $20 and one at $40, so I won't break your bank. :)
