Not all mermaids dwell in the sunny, tropical oceans. ☀️🌴🌊This mermaid thrives in the cold, fresh waters of Northern Michigan. She can often be found swimming at night or around sunset. 🖤 She LOVES big boulders, piers and grassy resting areas. 🖤 . Because Mermaid Phantom cannot see well in general, she has no problem navigating Lake Michigan at night. In fact, she loves the darkness so much that some of her friends call her the "Queen of Darkness." ☠🧜🏻‍♀️👑 Others know her as the "Ghost of the Great Lakes" for her ghostly appearance. .
