Her heart was at a loss in the dark night, the flicker of dwindling ember becoming her only solace as what felt the LONGEST of days she had ever endured came to its end. The past hours had been more burdensome than the past centuries in turn, and had not exhaustion parted them, she had feared her husband would have sanctioned the familial wing of the palace in complete isolation. What was done to spare her, what was done to CONTROL the overwhelming of confusion and panic amongst those around them -- it made her nervous at her very core. Anorýn did not wish any disturbance amongst the land, only to return to the house of her beloveds. Only to rekindle some peace against shadow and agonies.
Long had she banished any nuisance from her side, unable to withstand the company as too much weathered her character. Instead, she WAITED within the sitting room of the family chambers, untouched by the guards standing on edge at her door. All she yearned for was the passing of night, to hear of the return of one she had waited far too long to see. It took not long for word to travel outside their gates on feverish horseback to alert patrols on borders to withdraw back to the citadel. Most IMPORTANTLY so, recalled the young elven prince from his missions away under some great urgency. She had dismissed the King in favour of rest, assuring him only of her remaining in the suite until Legolas’ return.
Time slipped by like the slow trickling of a stream, until she heard the fuss of several not far outside her walls. Alarms were briefly raised as the silence of night was overcome by DISRUPTION. Grey eyes turned from the flickering fire to move back to the entrance hall with a disapproval quickly touching upon her features. The two guards shuffling in and out of the door quickly made note of her peering from around the corner dishevelled and unamused, “Will you QUIET your insolence or you will wake the King.” Her tone not falling short until her eyes landed upon the additional ellon entering the foyer. She paused at the sight of him, like the breath had vanished from her lungs and there she stared with a perplexed yet unsettled expression. “Legolas,” she returned with a final exhale, her dark eyes falling over him scrupulously.
