HELLO! Gosh, has it almost been a year already? We’re only a three weeks short of this blogs 1 year anniversary on tumblr. Obviously, my baby means the world to me. I love her to pieces, and would never dream of excluding her from my rp life. However, life is hard af rn. I’m stressed to the max between university and working for the state. So, I’ve decided to make my life 1000000% easier, I’m moving this mama jamma over to my multi. 

What does that mean? Well, nothing really. It just means you’ll need to follow @cnuasach to see this lil angel from now on. All threads I currently have, I’ll be moving over there to do. If for some reason, you’re uninterested in continuing these threads given the move - just hmu! I’ll be understanding, as I know multi’s aren’t everyone’s thing. However, I would be sad to lose anyone just because of the move! Believe me, I’ve given this a lot of thought. My activity here has suffered because of it, and that’s something I DO NOT WANT. 

So we’re moving, heading over, taking a ride on the magic school bus of my crazy muse infested brain. All threads currently in my drafts ( if they’ve been returned within the last month ( fuck me i’m so sorry ) will be done over there within the next few days. ) Please, please, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I am certainly NOT deleting this blog, fuck it’s like so important to me to keep forever and ever. But all future writing will take place over there, so this blog is getting archived effective today.

     Anorýn knows better than most her husband's tendency to fear her absence. After all, their previous separated had lasted them what felt like EONS worth of time. Yet a day’s delay from travel hardly spelt capture again, even more so given she was accompanied by their most proficient generals. Perhaps it had been too soon, but she was eager to get OUT of the city to attempt some manner of diplomacy. It was, ultimately, some of her most adept skill within her title. The Elvenqueen had always been CHARMING, and far more at ease with people of any creed than Thranduil at times. 

     So when she arrives, she tucks herself along the doorway of the throne room, watching him practically sulking like an elfling. It amused her greatly, so much so, she allowed him to suffer there a BIT longer to commit the childishness to memory. He was precious, truly, and she knew such a word would only make his temperament heightened. So she decides to release him from his discomfort, a crinkle of her nose telling her spirit was well and her heart GLADDENED at the sight of him. “Had you not a crown on your head, I’d assume you a lovesick elfling, aran nín,” She lofts into the silence before wandering in, tousled chestnut locks swinging behind her. “However shall I SPARE you of this? I would remiss not to savour it.”

Teeming with curiosity and the instinctual pull of anything supernatural, his hand brushed the doors and walls as if he may taste what seeped through by the tips of his fingers. He already understood that it was likely forbidden, but a fellow master of such arts could not be blamed for the lure of ancient power. When the guardian came to him and beckoned for his return, thin lips were graced with an amused grin as his tilted his head up towards the spinning metal image of Midgard. “I am not entirely a stranger,” he teased, a shoulder shrugged once before hands folded behind his back.

Loki was not here to find himself on the nerves of the Sorcerer Supreme, of course, and so he opted not to meddle with the threads and streams of magic that ITCHED at his mind. But he could not relinquish the familiarity that lingered in the atmosphere. Yet finally he stepped out, not opting towards the command of the woman’s, but he made it clear that it was of his own decision. Brushing by her, Loki antagonized her further in reply.           “Oh –?”   he laughs,   “Would I now?”

After a proper distance from the room, he turned for another inquiring look. Loki remembered. She mentioned dark realms and the scent of a burning infinity stone was awakened. It was immensely far fetched of course. Perhaps madness was catching up to him. He extended a pointed hand towards the room.

“What else is… or was… in that room? I know magic, seiðr’s in my blood, but that is not ALL that fills the air there.”

     She knows he’s ITCHING for something, the void that spanned his empty features was easily passed into the depths of his being. No, she ponders, Loki isn’t here on a mission of GOODWILL or a careful chat. He wants something, and for whom, she does not know. That is why she remains carefully observant of him, willing to re-engage any level of DISCOMFORT previously practiced if it meant defending the sanctum. It was her duty, and thus, her privilege. When he regards her words with little more than SPITE, Rýn shifts her stance once more to the REMOVAL of the threat at hand. That room held relics more mighty than the stars. The gods themselves lusted after them, and who more so was COVETOUS than Loki? 

     “And draíocht is in mine, what you feel could come from all manner of mysticisms housed WITHIN this mighty sanctum, or perhaps you merely find yourself opposed to one like yourself,” Her chin rises slightly, a small perk of her lip delves deeper into the nonsensical territory they had already approached. As they are firmly removed, her hands extend to pull the doors closed, removing a TALISMAN from her pocket -- Rýn baths the entryway with the bendacht eager for none to realize what had BREACHED the inner walls. After it was sealed, she turns to regard him, unsurprised by his insistence and curiosity. Curiosity was not a sin, despite what manner would predict, and thus, she found it not as repulsive as before. How could he NOT be curious? 

     Her first time within the inner chambers had been like a walk in a VOLCANIC field. A fire burned within her blood, and the hymns of old beckoned her forth to ENSNARE what was not rightfully hers. She had resisted, one of many trials arranged to secure her amiable alliance with the Sorcerer Supreme. “Perhaps, if you would like to stop wandering where I’ve ASKED you not to, I COULD answer some of your questions over tea,” A suggestion approached with a flat and intentionally uncompelling tone. It was more of a command than a request, but she hoped third time would be the charm. “Come, serpent. Let me show you something less troublesome.”

      She is most pleased with the reaction she had gotten. It was not very oft that the young Elleth surprised anyone within the family with anything. ( In fact, it was rather DIFFICULT to surprise anyone when they were used to a routine. ) But this was different. She had taken something she learned and wished to apply the thought here. And now she was spoiling the one she called her mother.

      ❝ Silly, Nana. His day will come for sweetbreads. But this day is not that day! Today is Nana’s Day. ❞ With a scrunch of her nose, she grinned so playfully and scooted closer. The plate full of toast remained in her lap and she was already lifting another slice before her mother had even finished the first. ❝ Come, come. You need to eat to be strong. ❞

     The Elvenqueen comes to BITE her tongue at the idea of Thranduil receiving a measure of sweetbreads. The scorn that would follow, would surely find HER in a state of displeasure with her sweet husband. Yet the teasing went otherwise unnoticed, so she obliged the young elleth’s EXCITEMENT, instead. Force fed toast so early in the day, surely the child’s tactics had not been centered only on surprising her mother? Thus, Anorýn remains skeptical at Tauriel’s actions, although happily playing along.

      “It is MY day? Are we to throw a parade?” A cheeky grin returned, grey eyes alight as she allows the dark-haired girl to tempt her with another bite of toast. Her hand slips to catch a small measure of crumbs, wiping her lip before allowing a CHUCKLE to fall thereafter. “I am quite strong, but your desire to continue such things are delightful. What gave you the idea I needed such assistance in the basics of eating?” A single brow arises, looking at her dear child perplexed.

              It is not every day that he is forthrightly asked how old he is, and it is not every day that he has to ponder on whether he takes any issue with it, either. It does not take long to decide for him that he does not at all, in fact ––––––– but ever since his mother’s capture, return, failure to fully heal and eventual departure, his every thought takes much longer to process than before. Decision-making no longer comes as easily to him as it once did and his memories are skewed if not entirely lost to him on certain occasions. But this, keeping occupied and doing what he has always endeavoured to ( coming to others’ aid, that is ) –––––- it helps him recover his old and true self.  ❝  Almost two thousand and four hundred years old, my Lady.  ❞

              About fifteen years shy of it, in fact, and a handful of years after the event that has made that crippling, lasting impression on him that has made him a lesser rendition of himself at present. All the same, he does as he intended to after a brief pause and pours her the offered cup of tea — even though he had not been given a true answer as to whether to serve her one or not. He does so out of sheer hospitality, as is his wont, and extends it her way before pouring one for himself in kind. Hesitation threatens to overtake him, though unlike most of the time of late, CURIOSITY wins out at length.  ❝  If I may be so bold: why do you ask?  ❞

     She means NO offence, even if she had a full measure of thought to comprehend propriety, the question was asked in an attempt to figure out WHERE she was in the context of time. It was difficult to understand, given the large space of memory corrupted by her struggles, Anorýn felt fearful on how much she had truly missed. In the deep echoes of her mind, she knew that Elrond had NOT married or birthed heirs when she last saw him. Assurance of this idea was what she sought with her forward questioning. A DESPERATE tactic perhaps, one she attempted to conceal beneath the overlying uncertainty. So when he answers, it takes all manner of strength to keep her chest from concaving in anguish at the idea. Near an age had passed, by the Valar, how had that happened? Pain diminished attempted resolve within fair complexion, grey sights fall short of his own as she bares her weight against the table for support. 

      He attempts to continue his hospitality, a KINDNESS she soon felt undeserving of given her state. Panic was flooding her veins, chest tightened with grief as she wants so desperately to FILL IN the whispers of missing thought. The tea is left on the table near her hand, gaze shifting to it as he seems to MULL over the additional question proposed to him. When he asks, she already knows the answer. She had not then, and his position laden with hesitation gives her greater fear that something was an array of such topics. Surely, such things had not all taken place in her absence? Elrond to change and grow, her friend whom she held so dear, and if such change could come -- what her OWN family? Her father, her husband, her....SON. The thought is like a bell, chiming atop of temple in the Western lands, a reflection of the world she came from that never seemed to slip entirely through the cracks. “Because I fear I have lost more than I could even imagine, time is a phantom to me, and by the Valar, I am a phantom IN my own skin.”
