Chapter 3 finally added!! Ghostwalker Week Tie-in: Only a Minute?

Starr and Walker have found the Maelstrom homebase, but as tensions flare, they have to prepare themselves for the worst. Walker has no choice but to take up a shield that he had set aside long ago, but will even the New U.S. Agent to be enough to weather the coming storm and buy Starr time enough to find Mel?

And who is this man claiming to be his brother?

Another particularly strong rumble sent a crack sprawling into the concrete slab above them, and Walker watched as a particularly sizeable chunk dislodged itself just ahead of Ava. He threw his shield arm out, knocking it aside. He flashed her a smirk. She rolled her eyes. Ava and John find themselves, once again, in an underground facility threatening to come down around them. I am still writing for GhostWalker Week, and I think I've settled on using Liam as the name for John Walkers son. But as I finished up Day 1 and began plotting for Day 2, I ran into a slight issue.

My idea is to write Ava's first time meeting John's son (Liam) but I like to incorporate all the prompts for the day, and day two is Meeting the Family / Marriage Proposal....

Does he propose before or after Ava meets Liam? Or does she propose to him?

Thoughts? Really really open to discussion for this!!

Summary:

"...are those supposed to be cookies?" Bucky - ever the most courageous of their bunch - asks her outright.

She glares at him, almost mutinously. "What do you think? Obviously. They're baked goods."

"No, no." Yelena shakes her head at her. "Those are not baked goods. Those are baked bads. There isn't anything good in that tray, Ava."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Didn't realize I'm in the presence of a Michelin chef." Ava just raises her chin at Yelena. "Please. Like you can do any better?"

"Well, yes. Very, very easily. I mean, if that's the baseline--"

And it's a sentence that never should be repeated (unless for very specific, murdery reasons)

Ava Starr gives her teammates exactly what they need, but when what Karla Sofen needs a punch to the face, her coach is less than thrilled. Pissed that she may be benched for the season before it begins, Ava is pretty sure that her senior year will be as shitty as the previous 17 years. But when she finds a new transfer student in their football kit sitting as if they were under a trance, she may discover that the future may not be as predictable as she thinks.

Except that Karla Sofen will always need to eat a knuckle sandwich, with two swift kicks to the stomach while she's down as her side dish. That much is guaranteed.
