One Husband Is Enough is actually peak
you'd think that with three male leads and a female protagonist -
at least one of the male leads would feel more written out to be the one she ends up with, or the protag would just end up being boring, stupid and a blank slate
each of the male leads have multiple layers and traits that're SO interesting about them and they dont even clash - and you never feel like ANY of them is a waste of time, even when you absolutely despise one of them! (cough cough Ettiene cough cough) because even if you dislike them, there is no doubt you'll find them or the protag's reaction interesting!
speaking of the protagonist.. i think Crocetta Gaetani is thr BEST isekai protagonist I've ever read. Not saying that i read many but... even my favorite webtoon, For My Derelict Favourite, (which is btw also super peak!!!) (that acknowledges the fundamental disbelonging an isekaid character has to the world theyve isekaid into, even if they love it and know 'everything' there is about it).. still doesnt work with the isekai part of their protagonist to its entirety like OHIE!!! their past life and overall personality always playing a part in how the story goes, and is part of its themes in a more serious matter than FMDF. Its so good that you increasingly want the story to cover her story and thoughts just as much if not more than all the other characters or the entire world!
in fact- we had TWO MORE side love rivals to the male leads that are so interesting TOO. One of them we dont even get to know a lot about and isnt as deep as i thought she'd be - but played a crucial part in the story and how we thought it'd go and setting up the second arc nonetheless!!!!
yeahhh that caught y'all's attention didn't it?
don't gett ur hopes too up though. EVERY relationship you'll consider or see (at least w the protagonist) is toxic. its ALL doomed.... well there's going to ve nice parts - but the hurt parts HURT HURT
and SPEAKING of that... if you didn't realize it from the first few episodes, this webcomic deals with serious and sensitive topics because its entire theme is Obsessive Love. Despite having male leads you may even like(rodger.... uuu... how could they.....) sexual harassment is NOT a joke. Scenes that in a normal romance webcomic would be the doki doki moment is treated like a horror scene bc it IS
Yet STILL you can't stop reading and rooting for at least the protagonist because they'll still have moments that give us and the protag hope, only to CRUSH IT AGAIN😭. Even if you feel like its all doomed you'll eventually come back to hoping for a better outcome, except you feel colder and more detached as you go through more hurdles, feeling what the protagonist feels....
ita actually peak please check it out.
not to mention, their clothes? probably the best I've seen in forever. I dont know how to describe it but all the noble characters all their clothes are fucking amazing bro. Like i love admiring the clothes of royal genre webcomics but this ones ridiculously good especially when they go to events
i ddont know if i c an gush any more, its just so good......
i juat finished reading the episode where they go in depth with Etienne and now i lowkey highkey want to see more of him
Anothehr thing, even w the many male leads, i think i already touched on this, it never feels too crowded or oversaturated or overwhelming. You grt a sort of section of the story where you spend time and get to know more of each of the male leads and what makes them so much more than tropes
i cant even gush anymore its juat Pure Peak Cinema
PLEASE read it - but be careful because this webcomic will contain the following things:
what makes the webcomic something i highly warn people from reading is not because it has a lot of dark stuff, but because of how much it'll happen again and again. Specifically talking about sexual harassment.
Because of its entire theme being Intense Love (good or bad), that'll be what the story often will show, sooo uhhh yeahhh
class is startinf so i gtg
