favorite GHS season and character and guest? Mine is second guest and Dr Fritz and also my favorite season is Season 2, because season 2 is a classic.
Hello, its really been a while sense i watched GHS, let alone play the games. that is a tough question. given i equally like most of the characters in the series from design and personality. including the 2 human guests in the GHS: LQ game to which this tumblr is made around promoting it.
I guess Gregory with how much of silly mysterious enigma he is and how in season 3 the last train much of a mental gauntlet he has go through with the other house guests/passangers on the train just as much of the human guests in his hotel as he tries to escape his own reality but fails. then there was also the dvd exclusive gallery tour mini series where he give us a tour of each the house guests by these paintings. he is very blunt with his commentary towards most of the guest in those episodes but he also get the painful outcome from some of them, including his mother.
Given, Gregory seems like a villian but he is not as powerful as he or anyone think he is. given some parts of the series and even the lost qualia game (and even the new game soul of roses) seems suggest there is someone else more powerful then him and his mother. powerful enough to take over the hotel and his reality to the extent of needing the human guest boy and guest girl to help him and house guest take it back.
guest boy and guest girl both my favorite by design alone and the fact that you could fill in the gap of what brought them here and what purpose that they are both trying to fulfill both in their world and gregorys world.
So my idea here is that the pink-haired guest from Gregory Horror Show: Lost Qualia might start to have some physical changes after she fights the "ghost" of herself. Basically, it's sort of a thing where she finally made the decision to stay at Gregory House, and willfully gave up her humanity, whether she realises that's the decision she was making or not.
Details, brute force translation, and like...one screenshot of the quest below the cut.
Note that the translation is my rough understanding, plus a large amount of brute force digital translation from three different pieces of software.
Initially, you get a quest from Roulette Boy, with the following letter. The quests are done in order, and this is the level 50 quest.
Did you know there's a game with a ghost feature? The ghost is the phantom of another player who scored a high score. The function is for them to appear as a rival to the player, so they they try their hardest to achieve the goal of becoming a part of the ghost feature.
I think...the ghost is in my game too. Huh. Do you want to know who they look like?
Hahaha!! If you want to know, come and see. And while you're here, spin me!!
--Roulette Boy
There is a letter before every quest. When you accept the quest, though, instead of talking to Roulette Boy, you talk to Gregory. The guest doesn't talk, so it's just him talking at you.
May I have a moment, Guest? Roulette Boy's "ghost" is going to challenge you, so...if I might offer one bit of advice; when competing against others, people with a desire to win often do so. Once you win...you have achieved that desire. But...when do you know you've won, if you're competing against yourself? Guest, if you're going to commit to a journey that will never end, you must prepare your mind. Hehehe....now, please proceed.
So, you know, creepy bitch he always is. Love that old rat.
Then you do the fight. It's the usual three rounds, ending with a boss fight in the last round, pictured below.
I'm level 61 at this point, so I breezed through this, even though I was using the deck that's weak to fire. Also, Pink Guest is fire element I guess, so that's cool.
Gregory has a few more words to say to us when the fight is over, which is unusual, but this is a big fight, so I don't blame him.
Thank you very much, dear Guest. How are you feeling? Going beyond oneself....to surpass your limits...and find new ones. This is what it is to battle with yourself. Hmm...so how can you prove that you have surpassed your sense of self? What is the answer? Of course it's always good to have some kind of "proof." If you win first place, you get a gold medal, first prize, a certificate of recognition! Everyone else says you have won, and so you get the most out of your life. If you want to be strong, what is most important is others believing you are excellent, and giving "testimony" to the achievements you have gathered. Hehehe... For now, Gunman will train you. I'd be better at it, but...I'm not going to be doing that.
And this unlocks the training event quests, "Over the Top."
In this set of quests, you work to become stronger.
I feel like the fact that you're finally getting training outside of the basic battle mechanics could mean something more, as well, lending some credence to my theory that maybe the Pink Guest isn't quite what she was when she arrived.
