It was after midnight when Giada woke up and started screaming her lungs out.

"I've got her," Darby said.

"You sure?" a clearly exhausted Tara said, desperate to crawl back into bed.

Darby nodded. "I haven't gone to bed yet and I still have a bit of energy," she assured her.

They worked on learning how to talk and the little girl actually got the hang of it really quickly.

Darby just hoped Tara wouldn't be mad or disappointed. It was a huge accomplishment, and usually parents wanted to be part of it. She knew she would if it were her sons.

Lila hating (dislike/mistreatment/resentment/jealousy? Not sure what word I'm looking for.) Marinette could lead to an akuma.

Whether it's one of their parents finding out about how bad the relationship between them is, Lila's feelings reaching a boiling point, or something Lila does pushing Marinette over the edge, there's a lot of ways that an akuma could happen.

It'd also be a good way to start having their relationship improve, if that's something you wanted to do. Have their parents realize the issues between their kids and start working on solving them.

I was thinking about something like Heart Hunter or Dark Cupid. Not really about Marinette, though she would be a side part of it, but because of Lila's mom.

Tbh I think Giada would have to change first, before she even starts trying to make Lila and Marinette's relationship better. She is the cause of the problem.

Is the reason giada rossi gets along so well with Marinette cos she really wants things with Tom to work and so it putting in more of an effort to be liked and avoid a "Wicked step mother" label? Or is it just cos she & Marinette vibe better due to personality or interests, etc?

Also is she still a diplomat?

It's because of Marinette's vibes and personality. Giada sees her a lot at the bakery, where Marinette often helps out. So it's pretty natural they get along. Giada is a very honest and sweet person, although a bit scatterbrained, a perfect match for Marinette xd

Tara didn't realize it was 11PM until Giada started to fuss and rub her eyes. They were just having way too much fun playing together and enjoying the first few hours of toddlerhood.

"Oh, plum," she said under her breath. "I think we should probably both get into bed, huh?"

Giada went right to sleep in her brand new, cozy black PJs.
