Even more didgital art, this time depicting another favorite animal of mine, an Indian Giant Squirrel (Ratufa indica), also known as the Malabar Giant Squirrel

Indian giant squirrels are classified as least concern under the IUCN.

A stunning animal found only in India, Indian giant squirrels can reach up to 1 meter (3 feet) long, making it one of the largest squirrel species in the world, with colours and markings that vary between individuals.

They live in moist deciduous forests and evergreen forests, where they spend the majority of their time. Individuals can leap up to 6 meters (19 feet) or more.

It is unknown how old wild individuals can live for, but one captive individual once lived up to 20 years.

Yes, and it’s also purple. I’ve seen one in the wild.
