Put a vampire and a flower nymph/dryad together and apparently the relationship works out (somehow).
Characters from a new RP story with @amayagt! Saber (the vampire) is my boy, while Olive (green gal) is friend's. The two meet on a reality dating show. They don't get together on the show, but sometime after it! They have to be better friends first before they start letting their walls down, mainly Saber. 🙏
Olive actually catfishes the show, too, because Dryads can use their roots to power "wooden" dolls. The dolls themselves look pretty lifelike and still feel real, and Olive's doll in particular takes on a human appearance. But, in part, it's also one of the reasons why Saber uses that as a petname for her.
The story is in its infancy state, so I don't have much more about it yet... 👉👈 Will probably post more pics of them under the tag "The Dollhouse"!
It is not fully proofread. It probably gets the job done, but if I take it down later, you can't say I didn't warn you.
Oh, happy, uh, bird 👍
As evening approaches, Lazarus rizes from his dead sleep. He stretches his creaky bones and quickly straightens out his bed.
Checking on the borrower-wren- he reminds himself, Lazarus does not immediately see them but does see the small bump in the blanket he gave them. That definitely isn't endearing in any way, no sir.
Spotting wrens clothes, seemingly layed out to dry, going off how damp they were, he realizes that they had been washed off... he hadn't even thought of that.
He reaches a clawed digit in through the bars and swipes up the tiny garments, laying them nearer the windowsill to dry in the last few rays of sun.
.........
Wren awakens from their fitful sleep, hearing what they assumed was the vampire awakening as well, they peek out of their little cave. Sure enough, there was Lazarus, their tormentor, doing god knows what.
Preoccupied with observing the vampire, wren reaches blindly for their clothes and, not feeling them, looks over to find them missing.
What the - did he... oh no...
Wren started to retreat back into their cave, embarassed at their nude state, until lazarus' cold eyes locked onto theirs.
"Good morning" he hummed, his deep baritone voice, even richer after sleep.
Wren slowly starts to retreat.
"Oh right, I- um- here." Lazarus stutters, realising that he had taken Wrens only other means of covering themself.
He drops their clothes through the bars, landing almost on top of the borrower.
"Dress yourself, please. Were going into town today."
He says, looking away as Wren collects their clothes and dresses quickly.
"W-why?" Wren asks, nervous that he would be ... selling them, showing them off to the public... or something else awful...
"Were going to visit a friend of mine, She knows quite a bit more about your lot, I would imagine, than anyone else I know."
Lazarus says, searching around for something.
Wren sighs, right, his mysterious 'friend'... "a-alright" wren concedes. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad... if this person knew about borrowers and hadn't revealed them... maybe they could be trusted? They were starting to think almost anyone would be better company than Lazarus.
Triumphantly, the vampire produces a black piece of fabric stiff and tarp-like and covers wrens cage with it.
"H-hey!" Wren yelps as they're shrouded in darkness.
"It's raining" lazarus responds simply.
Wren grumbles, crawling back into their cave to prepare for the assumingly cold trek.
Stepping into the cool evening mist, lazarus inhales the lovely, dewey scent, beginning the journey. The outside was cold, and he wondered for a split second if Wren was warm enough...
The rain had softened into a light mist that faintly coated Lazarus' cloak, and the tarp atop the cage.
The earlier rain had muddied the ground and he trudged through puddles and sod, irked that his new boots were already being dirtied.
Eventually, they made it to solid ground, the familiar asphalt and concrete that Wren could recognize by the sound of lazarus' footsteps.
They wondered momentarily if they were anywhere near their home... if they could perhaps escape and get back, that is... if they got the chance...
The dull footsteps stop, and Wren hears a bell ring.
Lazarus stops, looking up and around to make sure this is the place.
"The Arcanine emproium," the sign reads.
He rolls his eyes, smirking at the tacky name.
Lazarus sulks in through the door, setting off the small bell that announces his presence.
"Welcome, welcome!" A voice calls from behind a shelf.
"Hello, Katri." The vampire calls in a more amiable tone.
A small scuffle is heard behind the cabinet before a surprised face pops out.
" Lazarus!? Is that you ??" The cheery storekeeper asks in surprise.
He gives no reply but smirks as she runs up to him, stopping herself just before she hugs him.
"Ah- greetings, old friend! How fare thee this evening?" She says formally, extending a hand to him.
Lazarus stifles a laugh.
"Now, katri, I may be from another time, but I don't speak in tounges quite like I used to," he chuckles. " I've been made aware of current speech patterns. You can address me as you would anyone else, unless you'd like to keep butchering the fine victorian dialect?" He banters.
"Oh come on, it's been ages since I've seen you, for all I knew you could've been dust by now. But oh! Of course, how are you? And what have we here, hm? "
She questions, gesturing towards the crate.
"Doing quite well for myself at the moment, I know I haven't been attending your little.... events as much, but it's gotten difficult over time. I find it much simpler to travel only when nessecary." He states.
"Oh yes, of course. We do miss you dearly, but I understand your predicament." She sympathizes.
Lazarus waves a dismissing hand.
"Much appreciated, my friend, but let us get to the matter at hand." He says, lifting up the covered crate.
"I seem to have stumbled upon a.... lesser known creature, a borrower, I believe, and I was hoping you could help me to, ah, understand it more, " he ventures.
Lazarus lifts the cloth off, tucking it into his coat.
"A borrower.... how unique..." katri mutters, peering into the crate, finding a fluffy blanket with a lump in one corner.
"Oh, apologies, the little thing is quite shy. I'm sure you deal with that plenty, though?"
"Oh ,yes, It's alright, I can get it out myself. I think it would be best if I gave it an examination first, just to see what we're dealing with..... Oh! Would you like to come to the back and watch?"
She says, excited to have a visitor.
"Ah, no, that's alright," he quickly declines
"Hm, suit yourself. And, Lazarus, I'm not sure if you're planning on keeping it, but if so, you'll need some... better accomodations..." She says, looking the cage over with distaste."A rusty raccoon trap isn't going to cut it, dear." She jokes, flicking the cage.
"Hm, yes. I will look around. Let me know when you're all finished, I'll... just be out here..." he trails.
Katri nods and carries the crate off to the back.
Wren trembles beneath their plush covering, unsure why exactly they had been brought here... Lazarus was generally short and cryptic with his wording, leaving Wren perplexed as they tried to grasp whatever they were about to be subjected to... they knew now, though, this new... creature... was to "examine" them. Wren loathed to think what that could entail as they felt the crate lurch up and forward, carried off somewhere new.
Katri was excited to see her old friend, perhaps it was fate that he'd come in with such a specimen... a borrowers blood contained a magic very different from others, it was used to keep them functioning, to give them exceptional strength and endurance as well as longer lifespans... she wondered if it would do the same for Lazarus....
Setting the cage down, Katri slipped on a pair of gloves, her movements brisk but methodical. She laid out her tools in neat rows before unlocking the cage. Inside, Wren flinched, their tiny body coiling tighter.
With a practiced grab, Katri pinned the writhing borrower inside a soft blanket, leaving only their head exposed. Wren shrieked and thrashed, but the struggle lasted only moments before the futility sank in. Resigned, their tiny chest heaved as they glared up at the woman holding them captive.
You will not bite, claw, or otherwise harm me.
Katri lifted the trembling bundle with care. Her voice softened. "Hi, my name is Dr. C. You can call me Katri if you prefer. I know you can understand me, so let's go over the rules:
You will not try to run away or hide.
And please... don’t jump off the examination table.
Do you understand?"
Wren stared up at her, their breathing uneven. She didn’t look particularly dangerous—her brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail, glasses perched on her nose, and her maroon lab coat looked more academic than threatening. But Wren knew better. Even in her apparent calmness, she held an unshakable authority. They nodded shakily, desperate to be free from the blanket’s restrictive hold.
"Good," Katri said, her voice brisk. "I’m going to put you down now and ask you a few questions."
She placed the bundle onto the desk and gently released her grip. Wren wriggled free, retreating to the top of the blanket pile like a cornered animal. They sat curled up, their gaze fixed firmly on the desk.
Katri smiled—genuine, if a bit strained. "Alright, you know my name. Can I ask yours?"
"...Wren," they mumbled.
"Nice to meet you, Wren," she said, jotting down the name. "And what species are you?"
"...don’t know," they muttered, clearly lying.
Katri’s brows knit together. She leaned closer, her tone firm. "Let’s not get testy, little one."
Wren’s shoulders sagged under her gaze. They let out a sigh, voice muffled behind their tiny hands. "...Borrower."
"Thank you," Katri said, scribbling the answer. "And how old are you?"
"Twenty-three."
Katri paused, pen hovering midair. "Twenty-three... Got it." She hesitated before adding, "This next part isn’t going to be your favorite. I need to give you a physical exam."
Wren’s whole body stiffened. Their eyes darted toward the edge of the table, but they knew escape was impossible. "Don’t. Touch me," they growled.
Katri sighed, her expression flickering with regret. "I need your height and weight. I also need to check for injuries. These are basic medical—"
She broke off as Wren bolted upright, scanning for an out. Before they could act, Katri reached for them, her movements swift but controlled. She grabbed them around the middle, pinning their arms to their sides, her thumb pressing against their throat.
Wren gulped, feeling the slight, yet threatening, pressure against their feeble neck...
Maneuvering the borrower, katri pins them face down with their arms behind their back, using a medical ruler to get their exact height.
"You are 3.2 inches..." She mutters, marking her chart.
Wren doesn't bother fighting back, defeated after being nearly choked, but they wince as they are picked back up.
" I know, I know." Katri sighs, "just behave, and we can get this done quickly. Then you can get back to Lazarus and go home and... do whatever, uh, he does.."
Wren bristles thinking of the vampire... what he would do with them once they were alone again...
Katri looks down in concern, sensing their apprehension, but she continues the examination. She could figure it out later...
She places the borrower into a box, measuring them both before taking Wren out and subtracting the boxes weight.
"Only 30 grams... lighter than I expected, " she mutters to herself, marking her chart.
"Ok, can you say 'ah' for me?"
Wren gave her a confused look
"N-"
They were cut off by a stick being shoved in their mouth.
Wren yelped in surprise and tried to pull away, but katri held their head in place for a few seconds until they heard a *beep* and pulled the object away.
"*pleh-* what the fuck was t-that?!"Wren spat
"Sorry, I know, it's not fun." She sympathises, ruffling wrens hair.
"Good news is, you seem to be the right temperature for a creature your size...." She trails, scrawling on her chart.
When Katri finally released them, they scrambled back to the blanket pile, glaring daggers at her.
"You could’ve just asked," Wren spat, their voice shaking with fury. "I could’ve told you everything. But no, you just had to grab me, like..."
The last words came out as a broken whisper, and Wren’s hands flew to their face. Tears pricked their eyes, but they refused to let them fall. They began pacing, venting their frustration. "You all think I’m some... some thing you can manhandle! I told you—I could’ve told you about my leg, or—or whatever you wanted! But no, i-i'm just—"
They broke off, fists clenched, struggling to breathe through the storm of emotions. Katri stood frozen, the clipboard in her hand suddenly feeling heavier.
"...Wren," she said softly.
"What?!" they snapped, turning on her with wet, furious eyes.
Katris eyes softened.
"Look, I'm sorry that all of this is happening to you, I know it's scary and hard, and you don't want to be here. I would help you, but... I stand as much a chance as you do in a fight against Lazarus, and taking his... pet... would probably be my second death. If you want me to talk to him, i might be able to get him to be... maybe be a bit nicer?"
Wren cringes at the degrading title. Taking a moment to collect themself and take a few breaths, they finally answer.
"... that might help."
Katri smiles, hoping she could help the little one in some way while not irking her friends' ire...
"I do still have some final tests, but they should be relatively calming. Sorry in advance..."
"No, no, it's ok... I'll be ok this time." Wren concedes.
Katri brightens, proud to have earned some trust.
"Thank you, wren. This might be a little invasive, but I am just going to feel your body for injuries, ok?" Though they shouldn't have any after what lazarus put them through ...
"Unless you're gonna stick shit in my mouth without warning, go ahead," they say.
Katri nervously giggles, not proud of her action.
"If you can just sit up with your legs out, I shouldn't need to pick you up. And did you mention something about your leg being hurt?"
"Well, ah, not really anymore... still a bit sore, but, uh.." Wren mutters gesturing to the injured area, not wanting to discuss the experience further.
"Mhm, I figured. I'm going to start now, ok?"
Reaching a finger out, Katri tenderly beushed against Wren's ribs, feeling their torso, chest, and shoulders for abnormalities.
Wren nods, still somewhat apprehensive but feeling a connection... like Katri somehow understood their situation, beside, they needed to stay in her good graces if there was any chance she could help...
Katri shifted away from the torso and began to feel their arms, gently squishing and pressing against them, spreading their tiny hands open and trying to feel each finger.
Wren tolerated the touch at first, but then relaxed, finding the more soothing warmth of gentle fingers comforting after their days away from everything they had known.
Their legs were next, starting in the outer thigh and working down wrens calves, careful of the sore area.
Katri carefully tested their joints, ensuring they had full range of motion in their wrists, knees, elbows, and ankles, maneuvering their limbs like a doll, but wren didnt mind, sinking in to the much needed physical contact before being rudely interrupted as Katri pulled away.
"All finished! You are doing just fine, I diagnose you with healthy." She giggled.
"It's done?" Wren asked, already missing the gentle contact.
Katri nodded "you can go curl up back in your cave if you want too, I can go get lazarus-"
"-n-No, um, not yet..." Wren interjected.
Katri nodded in understanding.
"You doing OK? I know this was a lot, but you did really well." Katri asked, her expression softening
"Thats alright, we can stay for a while longer. Hell knows that old bat isn't in a rush." She joked.
" Fine, I guess." Wren said.
Truthfully, Wren felt strange, a little invaded, but less afraid than they should. Their species wasn't even supposed to be known about, and here they were being studied... it should have been a borrower's worst nightmare, but Wren still feared the creature that waited in the shop far more than the understanding but misguided shopkeeper; perhaps she could be trusted.
g/t story for you!! (parts warning! this is part one!)
tobias walked down the hallway of the all-inclusive high school, trying his best to stay away from the human students as he made his way to his next period. although, he wasn't like the other giants walking by him.. this giant was part vampire. meaning he could walk in the sun, garlic didn't hurt him, and he actually likes the cross necklaces he sees. however... that does mean he has the hunger for blood like a vampire. usually he doesnt feed into this hunger; he eats lots of red meats and that usually keeps it down. however, at this moment, the vampire hadn't eaten any bloody foods in a good while, and he really was craving something better than just a steak.
but that would have to wait; he has to get to his class, of course!
as the bell rang and signalled the beginning of 4th period, the vampire giant sped up his walk, being nearly the only one in the hallways at this point. however, unbeknownst to him, there was a human girl full on running down the pathway, panting and desperately trying to reach her own 4th period before the late bell rang. as a human, her walking speed wasn't nearly as fast as a giant's, and since the school was built for a giant... she wasn't exactly making good time.
most students had the help of a giant friend to get them to class on time; the schedules were strategically arranged so that every human had at least one giant that shared their next period. today, however, the giant that was supposed to get Kiara to her next period was absent, and as much as she loathed walking.... she absolutely detested the only other giant that could get her to this class—
and that giant was tobias.
now, toby didn't have a track record of being mean. he simply kept to himself and would rather draw and listen to music than socialize. who needed people when he has his Rammstein? he actually didn't mind kiara. he, of course, wasn't exactly friends with her, but he didn't dislike her. she was one of those people who got along with anyone and everyone. so outgoing that she can light up a room with just her smile. so sweet that she can lift the spirits of anyone she graces with her presence.
and tobias just... doesn't. he's not that kind of person. he doesn't smile unless he has a reason to, and he doesn't know how to make someone happy.
but back to business.
kiara looked behind her briefly as she felt footsteps, nearly sighing in relief as she thought she felt a giant who could take her to her class. but as soon as her eyes landed on toby, the human female scoffed, finally stopping in her run.
"hey! toby!" kiara waved her arms as she watched the giant boy approach.
"hm?" tobias finally looked up from what he was doing, scanning the ground for a sign of life nearby. as soon as he saw kiara... the girl who was sweet to everyone except him.. he stopped, looking down with a gentle look. "can i.. help you, kiara?" the teen slipped his black and purple headphones off his head, letting them rest around his neck to give kiara his full attention.
kiara seemed to tense under the gaze of the giant. she wasnt afraid of him hurting her... but she couldn't help but admit that he's terrifying. his shoulder length, dark brown hair resting above the orange colored eyes that nearly pierced her soul gave him a bit of a shaggy, monstrous look. his hair was teased a little, giving it a poofy effect while still looking maintained and presentable. unlike his dark red sweater, that had mysterious stains and perpetually snagged threads on it, complimented by his ripped, black jeans and combat boots. he wore various chains, a couple pentants looped into the chains around his neck, and a pair of silver cross earrings hanging from his pointed ears. hidden behind his round lips were a pair of sharp fangs where normal canines should be, as well as a pointed tongue with a single stud piered into it.
"y-y.. um-" kiara choked out as she tried to form a sentance, distracted by his rugged appearance. "are you going to mr. bates's class next?" she managed to spit out a full sentence without stuttering, but she stroked her long ginger hair in anxiety.
"uh, yeah. why? need a ride?" tobias suddenly kneeled down, causing kiara to stumble backwards, nearly tripping on her black flats.
at this, toby reached forward, but stopped short, showing her his open palm that seemed ready to snatch her up. his pale, slender fingers retracted when she regained her footing, but he still seemed ready to catch her if she needed it.
"i-i do! please.." kiara muttered, averting her soft, light blue eyes from his bright amber colored ones.
"alright.. wanna, uh.." before finishing his sentence, toby laid his hand flat in front of kiara, giving her the option to climb on by herself in favor of just picking her up.
kiara stared at his palm for a moment, but slowly took a deep, prepatory breath and stepped closer to the massive, offending appendage.
I thought of some more g/t vampire ideas from this post.
Giant vampires would be great villains if you are into angst. They would need eat a lot of humans to sooth their thirst. If you like fluff, the giant vampire could choose to live isolated from humans and live off of animals. A wandering human would be frightened when they meet the legendary monster, only to be surprised when the shy, lonely giant explains they only drink deer.
Giant vampires could turn into a large flock of bats. They would have heightened hearing and smelling. They also would be quiet, even their footsteps are silent. Since they are only out at night, they could come very close to a human without being spotted, especially since humans don't look up. I think a lonely giant with a fascination for humans could get very close to them in the forest and just watch them.
Now a tiny vampire could live like a borrower or a feral animal. They could live in a house unnoticed, hiding from humans. They could turn into a rat or mouse if they feel the need. To survive, they would drink from the humans when they are sleeping, leaving small itchy bumps. I feel like they would be more domesticated, educated, and calmer than wild tiny vampires.
These tiny vampires live off of animals since finding a human is harder to do with their size. Then need to be quick, it helps that they have super strength. They would tackle and tear a rat or bird or rabbit apart. This means claws and animal fur clothing. Since they don't live off of humans, they would be less social and more feral depending on the tiny. If someone discovers them and tries to pick them up, they will not hesitate to claw and bite that hand to shreds to get away.
This is one of my old OC’s agiain. He is a giant Vampire. One of the one’s I have been revisiting. He is suave and very intelgent. You know those people. You meet them once and you have too just tell them everything, and trust me he uses this to his advantage, that is until he finds a child.
Warning: Old writing
"Samuel. Hey Samuel." A tiny voice could be heard in the complete darkness. The problem was Samuel could not roll over or appear onto the ground very well. His coffin completely restricted his movements, and that's just how he liked it. His eyes fluttered open revealing their dark red color and piercing nature. The sharped fanged creature looked around and instinctually reached his arms into the air to stretch but banged them against the top of the wooden container. "Shit," he whispered to himself, holding his hand in a protective manner. He appeared in the darkness trying to tell what time of day it was, but honestly he wasn't lucid enough for him to register he needed to open the cover of the wooden coffin.
"What?!" He said rolling onto his left side as gently as he could without harming the being who dared to trespass. As soon as he turned, he noticed the tiny silhouette just hovering in the coffin. He never noticed before, but at the bottom of the wooden bed there was a hole that had developed over the years. He had no reason to honestly even worry about it till now. The little brat found the entrance and came crawling to him in the middle of his rejuvenation nap. He couldn't see her fully, but he could see the child was shaking from fear. " If you are going to disturb me, you might as well come in fully. You lingering in the wooden whole is making me, even more, upset the longer you are here." He said with a gruff to blatantly express his irritation in the small child ignoring one of his many rules.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Samuel found this child in his bar about two months ago. At the time he thought he was in heaven. She was only eight years old, alone, and a borrower. The poor child had wandered into the storage room trying to hide away from the humans. This was perfect. Yes before you ask it was perfect for him, only for the fact he was a blood-sucking Vampire. This was honestly the perfect opportunity for him. A tiny of any type was perfect for his kind. Yes, he would have to really control his thirst and how much he takes because he takes too much at one time she will die. This didn't bother him one bit. He already controlled his thirst by working among humans all the time. He would bring the child back to his home, free blood bag for emergencies or nights he was bored, no one would miss them, and she was easy to hide unlike the blood bags he was storing in his fridge already.
There was only one faulty part of his plan... he really didn't expect himself to feel bad for going about this plan. The first time he tried to drink from her small form; he wimped out. He literally had his fangs ready, just about to enjoy his first fresh taste of humanity, and...something in him just wouldn't allow him. He just told himself that day he was off. That he would try again another time. Yeah. Well. It's been about two months now. He still hasn't tried again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The child stuck her head out into full view of Samuel, but would not move from her spot.
"Yes Claire. I need to see you. Out now." he pointed right next to his body being stern. She broke his rules; She needed to learn her lesson. " What did I tell you earlier?"
"But...I was."
" What did I tell you? He said cutting her off.
The borrower looked down at the ground while talking trying to hide her face. It was also one of those typical child actions one did when they were in trouble. " Not to bother you when you're in the coffin."
" and why was that?"
"It's dangerous, and you barely get time to sleep because your kind doesn't sleep."
" No. I said It's dangerous and Vampire's do not sleep. While I am here, I am allowing my body to rest and heal. I can not do that if I have a small pest bothering me."Samuel carefully grabbed her, but also did so in a fist. He brought her close to his face so she could perfectly see his fangs, which were completely visible to get his point across. He knew his eyes were shinning their dark and menacing red because he was in a confined space with a creature who contained the one food source he hadn't had in twenty-four hours. " So why would you dare defy my request and come in the one place I tell you not to enter."
Claire looked down trying to find her words for the situation. " I was all alone. It's boring all by myself. Plus it is terribly cold out there."
Realization was hitting him on a few facts. He was one who didn't need heat. He never turned the heat on in his apartment. Guilt passed over his face as he was trying to still hold the menacing look to scare the child for defying him. Then he started to think. That was such a typical child's answer. She was bored. She risked coming into a coffin to disturb a giant Vampire who was "sleeping" because she was uncomfortable and missed him. She wasn't shaking because she was scared. She was shaking from the cold shivers that were passing through her body. Samuel sighed. He retracted his fangs so they were hidden. If he could, he would make his eyes go to normal too, but instincts weren't that under control.
He dropped her minuscule body on top of his chest. " You know you will have to be punished for trespassing and breaking the rules."
Claire looked up with wide eyes trying to understand what he was going to do. " P-punishment?"
"Yes."
"You're going to bite me aren't you?" She blatantly asked not even looking up at him.
Samuel rolled his eyes. " No. Not yet at least. I'm not really hungry." Both knew he was entirely hungry, but that did not matter." No as a punishment since you wanted to come in so badly you have to remain in here with me till I leave."
The young child looked up at him confused. " um ok?"
" I plan on being in here for a long time, so you must stay trapped in here while I relax." Samuel simply stated. He then abruptly placed a hand over her body, pinning her down to his chest. He could feel her snuggle up to him like a puppy would to an owner and most likely close her eyes. He felt a little bad. He wasn't ice-cold like people would assume Vampire's were, but he didn't really have body heat to spare. He just knew it had to be warmer in here than out there.
"Hey Samuel?"
He opened one eye open to peer at the child irritated. " What?"
"While you were busy sleeping I drew pictures. I also made one for you. It took me a while, but I did it anyway. I also eat all the peanut butter you set out."Samuel could tell she was just going to proceed to tell him about her day. He wanted to so badly shut her up, but he didn't have the heart. He knew both had to adapt to having each other around. She would have to rely on him more and trust him, if not she could honestly be easily damaged, just like earlier. The stupid idiot didn't think a borrower needed heat. He could feel her snuggle as close as possible to him to get more comfortable as she explained her day...In great detail. He also knew he would have to get used to having a kid around. This was only the beginning.
"Samuel? Are you even listening?"She asked looking up at him.

Lazarus sharp white fangs sink deep into the humans warm flesh. He enjoys the warmth and sweet taste of their blood, savoring the meal.
He hadn't properly fed in a week, which might have justified him drinking so much from the human that their face paled.
Dropping from the vampires hold, Lazarus's victim slumped onto the cold concrete.
He cringed at himself
"oooh.... Shit."
It wasnt the first time he had taken a life, sure, But he tried to avoid it when possible. Lazarus much perfered drinking his fill, healing the wound and erasing the humans memory, that way they could go on with their night normally, albeit a bit dizzy, and Lazarus could feed without worrying about police banging on his door.
But thats not how the night went, and now he had a crime scene to cover up, great...
(Wren pov)
Outside in the chilly night air, Wren watched as the bean strolled happily along the sidewalk. It was strange, usually beans kept inside at night, allowing borrowers to, well, borrow, but this one seemed to enjoy the fall air, unbothered by its icy sting as they were protected by a thick orange sweater. Wren noticed them slowing down to admire the turning leaves and the clear night sky. Finally they sat on the old wooden bench across the street, crossing their legs, and pulling out a book.
Out from the shadows, a bean dressed in a black cloak approached the other from behind. Wrens eyes narrowed, this bean seemed.... Odd in a way. Wren stared in disgust as they put their mouth onto the other. only able to guess at what the hell they were doing. Wren watched, confused as the color drained from the orange-clad beans face, staring dumbly as they slumped limply to the ground.
Their eyes became blank and soulless.
Dead.
Wrens' eyes widened, hands rose to their face to hide their gasp.
They werent really d e a d, were they ? Wren thought.
They heard the colaked figure muttering to themself.
Wren watched. They knew they should just bolt, but... What point was there, really, they had such a good hiding space , it would be a shame for it to go to waste...
Wren stared wide eyed, intrigued as to what this horrible bean planned to do with the body.
Wren saw the figures head move as they sniffed the air, suddenly their head shot up and turned, looking left and right before settling forwards.
The borrower paled.
Before them the cloaked figure stared, eyes locking directly onto the missing brick at the bottom of the wall.
Right onto Wren.
(Lazarus pov)
Lazarus' head shot up as he smelled something peculiar, a human scent, mixed with fear, meaning that someone had seen him, but peculiarly, it was very... Light? like the person was a mile away from him...
Nonetheless, whatever it was needed to be dealt with. Lazarus sighed and began to track the scent, closing his eyes, he quickly pinpointed the smell, coming from....
From right across the street...?
Lazarus used his superspeed, zipping across the empty road, he searched in the nearby alley, throwing open the dumpster and upturning a few boxes, but the scent was.... lower? Lazarus looked downwards towards a missing brick at the bottom of the wall, he sniffed again. The scent was undeniaby right there, but how ...
Curious, Lazarus crouched down, as he did so, he saw something dart out of the hole, dashing away and turning outside the alley so fast that anyone would have mistaken it for a mouse, but Lazarus wasnt anyone, his enhanced vision allowed him to see more detail than any human, but right now, he felt as though his sight was betraying him. That thing... it had a tail, but no other animalistic features, and wearing a red jacket and pants wasnt typical of any rodent the vampire knew of, how curious....
(Wren pov)
Wren winced, No of course this thing couldnt see them, no human would think to look for a borrower right after committing murder, obviously, Wren thought. Looking back the strange bean seemed to dissappear, one moment there, the next, gone. Wren frantically looked from left to right as all they could sense was a wooshing sound and a barely visible blur. The dumpster lid was thrown open by seemingly nothing, boxes were upturned and trash flew around the alley.
The blur finally slowed and In front of the borrower stood a pair of polished jet black boots.
Wren didnt even look up, they bolted from the broken wall, dashing straight towards the road before turning sharply at the corner. maybe they would just think it was a mouse, o-or a hallucination! They rationalised, before being met with the same pair of black boots that seemed to appear from nowhere just like before.
Wren screamed as they switched back around towards the alley.
They felt something push them, toppling them to the ground.
"AAAgHhhh!!"
a sharp pain ran through their leg as they scrambled to get up, making them faceplant into the concrete
They twisted around the best they could, finding a maroon claw digging into their calf.
They tried again to drag themself away "gaaah!!" they cried out as the claw opened the wound even farther.
The borrowers breathing quickened as they imagined horrible scenarios, horror stories told by their parents and friends about what beans would do to their kind.
Wren didn't know what to do, they couldn't run, couldnt hide from this apparently all seeing, sonic speed, murderous monster. They pressed their face into the concrete and began to sob and shake against their will.
They felt that horrid claw finally release itself from their leg, but they still didnt move. Wren knew they were caught, dead. Anything this monster wanted with them, they could do, besides, it hurt far too much to even think about moving, their bruised, mangled body refused the natural instinct to run even as they felt cool fingers wrap around them.
Yeah i was gonna post this on valentines but the other one seemed cuter (also this was not done haha-)
📢Just an FYI the next chapter will contain mouthplay and vore elements! None in here though! (but oh god the fearplay 😳)
But here we go, more eepy vampire shit :D
(wren pov)
Dropped into the metal prizon, Wren jumped at the sharp snap that sealed their fate, scooting as far back into the metal walls as they could, they crammed themself into a corner with only their injured leg sticking out.
They stared warily, not sure what the shadowy figure wanted with them.
The cold metal beneath them stung on bits of exposed skin through the rips in their pants, but it felt kind of nice on their injuries, especially their leg.
Their leg... Wren looked at the gash, noticing a decrease in the throbbing pain, and saw their wound was .... Healing? The bleeding had stopped somehow, and all the scrapes they had sustained around the injury were gone as well...
Wren puzzled at this, glancing back to see their captor reading some book, as if their miniature kidnapping victim was second priority, but wren was glad its attention wasnt focused on them for just a moment.
Why were they healing so fast? They'd sustained a pretty shitty injury once when their hand got scraped on their hook, and that bled like a bitch and took weeks to heal! Why now had their miraculous healing powers emerged ?
(Narrator)
Borrowers: small, sentient, magical beings that live inside building walls in small families or communities, feeding on scraps and leftovers from the inhabitants and using "borrowed" material to craft intricate nests.
If extracted correctly their magic can be used in spells, curses, charms and even recipies!
Well, that explained why it was outside a bakery, Lazarus wasnt sure what the "extraction" required, not that he would nessecarily need it.. But it did explain why this creatures taste had been so enticing...
His eyes turned to the little thing, seeming to be focused on its leg.
"should be healing a bit by now, yes ?" he spoke, appearing in front of the desk in an instant.
The borrower jumped at his sudden closeness.
Pausing for a moment, it regained its composure.
Looking up at Lazarus, it spoke.
" wh- why-is.."
"it's just a convenient feature we have.. Helps avoid detection." he said.
The borrower looked even more confused
"what- what are you...?" it questioned.
Oh, Well he supposed they wouldnt know much of other creatures, needing to stay hidden and all that..
Hmmm..
" That is... quite a good question, Dear. In truth, Im not entirely sure myself, Its been quite a long time..."
He trailed off, zoning out for a few seconds.
"..In any case, You may call me Lazarus."
He gave a small bow and waited for a response, when none came he tried to prompt the little thing.
"Would I be correct in assuming you have a name as well?"
He questioned
Oh right- "W-wren"
They stammered.
"Wren.... lovely name, pleasure to meet you, Dear"
Lazarus flashed a half smile down at his captive.
"I still, I kn-ow you- you aren't human..."
"Hmm... "
Lazarus thought momentarily.
"Well,,,, I guess I should explain."
Lazarus pulled out a small wooden stool, plopping himself down.
"You may have heard stories of mysterious 'humans' who roam only at night, clad in dark clothing that partially hides a pale complexion. Some are mistaken as human, smart enough in dress and makeup to pass themselves, others perfer solitude for the most part, not wishing to bother with society.
Now of course, humans love their tall tales- of creatures like them that stalk human prey by night-"
wren gasped
" and hide themselves away in the daylight. They call those individuals 'Vampires'.
Better still, humans are dumb enough to believe that the old myths of bloodthirsty beings were just that, myths,,, though an unlucky few discover our secret~."
Lazarus' gaze drifted back to wren on the last sentence.
"you- you're -"
Wren paled, they were captured by-
"Haha, seems youve caught on then, hmm?"
Wren looked up into the vampires Maroon eyes, the shadowy room shrouding his sharp features made him look even more ghastly, they shuddered.
" are you..." they whispered, taking a breath they spoke up.
