10th overall? Odell Beckham must have wanted to be ranked higher

Odell Beckham Jr. is a wonderful football player and a very high spirited player on and off the field.  The Giants star wide out has really dominated the game since entering the league from Louisiana State University a few years back.

Beckham has become one of the most electrifying football players making the most amazing plays since entering the league, and tonight his peers voted him in the top 10 of the best 100 players in the league.  His response was not that of joy though, but rather confused.

Tiki Barber calls Eli Manning old and says Kirk Cousins is best QB in NFC East

Tiki Barber thinks Eli Manning is old.

Who is the best quarterback in the NFC East?  Tiki Barber the former New York Giants running back was not afraid to tell the world his favorite. In an interview Tiki Barber told WJFK-FM that Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback in the division. He then called his former quarterback old.

“I think it has to be (Washington Redskins QB) Kirk (Cousins). None of the guys from the Eagles excite me.  Eli and (Dallas Cowboys QB) Tony (Romo) are old and Kirk just feels like he took the right steps. There’s a lot to be excited about with (Cousins), especially if he keeps continuity with his coordinators and just keep taking the small steps forward. You don’t need to take leaps and bounds but just take small steps forward…especially if you have talent around you, which the Washington Redskins do.”

Giants DE Jason Pierre Paul says he is leaving the country for the 4th of July

Jason Pierre Paul will not celebrate the fourth of July this year.

Last year on the fourth of July the New York Giants suffered a huge blow when their Franchise Tagged player suffered a major injury playing with fireworks.  Jason Pierre Paul almost ruined his NFL career, but this year the former USF Bull changed his ways.

He is not going to be celebrating the 4th of July this year, instead he is getting out of the country.

Former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor's wife was arrested for beating up her man

Lawrence Taylor’s wife was arrested for ‘beating her husband’s ass”

Lawrence Taylor’s wife has been arrested for domestic assault after the former NFL linebacker claimed she attacked him during an argument.

Cops say Lynette ADMITTED to throwing an object at the back of LT’s head — ‘causing a 3-inch laceration … at one point saying, “Yeah, I beat [his] ass. I made him bleed” according to TMZ Sports.

Lynette Taylor, 42, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest.

The judge seemed surprised by the incident.

“That’s a lie,” she said. “My husband is a 300 pound linebacker. Not the Lawrence Taylor,” the judge asked. “Really?”

We will see how this turns out.

Today Odell Beckham Jr. was a no show for the New York Giants voluntary workouts.  According to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, the former first round pick missed the day and Geremy Davis filled in for him. 

I wonder if Beckham is trying to avoid the media since he was recently spotted at Drake’s party in Los Angeles with a new woman.  Yep you guessed it a career killing Kardashian. OBJ was seen in public with Khloe Kardashian, I wonder if that is why he missed the workouts today?

Yesterday we spoke about both of these teams.  Both have been trying to find a back-up quarterback.  Both teams have horrible depth behind their initial starters.

Elon TE Douglas Warrick will attend the local day for the #Jets and #Giants

Tight End Doug Warrick will work out for the Giants and Jets this week

We are learning that small school tight end Douglas Warrick has been invited to the New York Jets and New York Giants local day to perform in front of their scouts and coaches.

Warrick is a 6’6 tight end that has great range and is really athletic for a big guy. He had 71 receptions in his career for 512 yards and scored 3 touchdowns in college.
