Damon Harrison skips his honeymoon because he wants to make an impression on Giants
Damon Harrison is joining the New York Giants
Damon Harrison was a beast when he played for the New York Jets, but now the young man has taken his talents across town. With Harrison signing a nice new contract with the New York Giants, he is ready to make an impact on the field for his new team. Harrison was recently married and was expected to go on his honeymoon, but the big man told his new wife they will have to do it next year, because Harrison wanted to get back to work and make sure he has a huge year.
“I know a lot of people say [they don’t change after a big contract], to make it sound cool and whatever. But that’s true to me,” Harrison said, via NJ.com. “I want to be great. I want to be considered the best at what I do. I don’t come out here to be top three or one of the best. I come out here to be the best. … I don’t think I’m fully a Giant yet. I’ve still got to go out there and earn their respect. They see the contract, they see what I’ve done in the past. But that means nothing to them. And I don’t want to feel like I’m entitled to be a Giant, just because of my contract. I want to earn the right.”
While most woman would get mad, his wife has to be smiling over that wonderful paycheck he received from the G-Men. I think I could wait as well….
