A Gibbon Parent and Child This is a #repost from @grp_phuket via @PhotoAroundApp To acquire a pet infant gibbon, the mother is shot. Only one in three infants survive this ordeal. The killing of Mother gibbons also reduces the reproduction of wild gibbons. This pet gibbons tend to become aggressive on reaching their sexual maturity. This has created a glut of unwanted pet gibbons. Other gibbons are confiscated from appealing conditions in bars, restaurants.
