i wanted to tell you really quick that you are beautiful. and i don’t mean just physically (though you are), i can see energy that i’ve learned others don’t see, yours is beautiful. you’re like a deep red flower pattern on a summer dress, and the playful wind that causes ripples in the fabric. you have the energy of a summers day with dappled sunlight and cool air coming off a river nearby. you are soothing to see in a world that is altogether chaotic like screeching metal, like a moment of peaceful silence outside that isn’t really silent because the birds and wind in the leaves are too joyous to be still. i always smile a little inside when i see one of your posts on my dash, i am glad you exist.

Like, no matter whether you ended up liking it or not (and absolutely no shade if it turned out not to be your thing after all!), even just the fact that you trusted the author so much you checked it out? That you enjoyed their other stories so much that you took a chance on something you usually give a pass?

Getting a comment like that is fucking incredible. For me, it surpasses even comments that say "I don't know this fandom/ship but still read the story because it's written by you" - jumping into the unknown is one thing, but jumping into something you typically purposefully don't read? Maybe even something that makes you uncomfortable? For me??
