How do you get your gifs looking so nice? They're so bright and colorful and crispy. I love them

first of all, thank you so much!!! that's so kind and i'm so glad you like them. there isn't a secret really, unfortunately!! i just overuse levels, vibrancy, selective colour, and spend an agonizing amount of time debating if i have over-sharpened them or not.

take this gif for example - i'm a VERY messy gifmaker and all of the layers look like this 😭

i put an excessive amount of thought into the colouring of every single gif, hence the absurd amount of adjustment layers. so, it really can't be understated how appreciative i am of everyone who sends me nice messages like this or puts kind things in the tags. i read everything and it always makes my day, thank you. 🧡

i actually saved my psds this time which is actually so sexy of me if i may say so myself. 

anyways FUCK david fincher inspired filters am i right ladies??? i really dont do much w the colours man i just. idk i like contrast and bright gifs and it would be wonderful if directors understood that one day but.....cinęmâ. that being said i usually just mess around w curves, colour balance, contrast levels....if no one got me i know photoshop adjustment layers got me can i get an amen

hiiii i just wanted to say you have the most beautiful gifsets i love them so much!!! and also a few months ago one of your gifsets that made me super aware of dean saying “what do we do, cas?” in 15x18 before billie squeezes his heart in such a helpless desperate and heartbreaking way and it’s been living my mind rent free ever since and idk if it would’ve really hit me like that without seeing your gifset!!!

ahhhh thank you!!!! i love getting messages like this because it's so fun to hear when certain gifs or sets make something that might have otherwise been overlooked stand out! that's actually something about gifs in general that i love. they really help you focus on small details like expressions or dialogue that can make scenes hit in a certain way that might have been missed otherwise! like a lot of times when im making gifs i'll end up writing a long post about the scene because it brings up sooooo many feelings just staring at these frames that make up the scene for so long while i edit them! so i'm happy that it does that for others too!!

hi, what font do you use for the dialogues on your gifs?

hi! i use arial bold italic. w/ black 1px stroke and 2 drop shadows at different spreads to make it stand out more and usually font size 18-22 depending on the size of the gif
