What am I counting down to? In this moment it's the last few rounds of this hat because dpns are definitely not my favorite! I know I've been failing miserably at keeping up with the #giftalong2018challenge but maybe I can try again! Today's prompt is #merryandbright and so I thought I'd share a bit more about the Christmas stocking I'm working on. The red cowboy stocking was knit by my husband's aunt's MIL (she made stockings for all of her grandkids and their immediate cousins in the 80s ); the green one I knit last year for our son in the same style as Rege's - I'm still amazed that I found a pattern that seems to be so similar! The dark red one I'm making now is for the newest member of the family, my sister-in-law! I think perhaps I'll try putting a dog on hers and I'm still leaning towards dinosaur for the kid's. #giftalong2018 challenge time! Prompt number one is simply introductions. So hi, y'all! I'm Connie and I've been dabbling in one craft or another since I was big enough to hold a pair of scissors. Crochet has become my passion and I spend far more time than my husband would like either crocheting, designing, teaching, or thinking about crocheting! I grew up in Arkansas and have also lived in Missouri, Kuwait, Colorado, Alabama, Texas, and Virginia. I'm a stay at home mama to an almost threenager, oh, I mean three-year-old boy and an Army wife. We also have a dog (beagle) and a cat (tonkinese) and yeah, it's a three ring circus around here sometimes! But my crocheting keeps me sane, as does preschool. ;) This is my first year participating in the @indiegiftalong and I'm thrilled that I get to do it as a designer!
