I usually don't make posts like this but
THE FEMALE PIRATE LADY CALLED SHITAN A GIRL I-
For context, the scene where they told everyone to drop their weapons, Shitan didn't so one of the Female Pirates ladies told Shitan to drop his weapon. And she called him "Yumiya no Ojou-chan" which translates to "(little) Archer Girl."
So either, this lady thought Shitan was a girl due to his long hair, it was a script mistake no one bothered to fix, or Shitan is in fact a woman (or intersex or something) and we've been tricked this whole time.
Idek what the English dub said tho so if anyone can inform me whether or not the English dub also has the Pirate Lady refer to Shitan as a female or not that would be great.
Edit: I checked and she does call him "little archer girl" o-o
