Tell me why i only just discovered that both my university and my church were designed by one of Smirke's pupils, Gilbert Scott. Like he has a whole episode about him, mag50, and i did not know until my friend whose listening to tma for the first time atm told me.
The amazing 'Walker' pipe organ of Rochester Cathedral, Kent (1905) made by J. W. Walker & Sons Ltd. The instrument sits within the splendid Gilbert Scott cases (1974), Gilbert is the same man who designed the infamous red telephone box of London/England
Milly and Gilbert finally got married, and had a baby girl named Meera.
