holy shit i love gillkat, my hc for him is that he has his gills on his sides like a seadweller but they dont work for long periods of time so he can really only be underwater for like 30 minutes tops

gillkat is so wonderful and that is a great headcanon. i like to think of them as like one step above from like, vestigial purpleblood gills (speaking of please give me little earfin gamzees) and so they’re juuuust able to function as normal gills. 

he’s never used them outside of a few times he’s just laid face first in his tub in a combination of Suffering™ and just kinda curious to see what would happen
