Hey! Just taking a gander through looking for new fics to read but also noticed my most recent fic didn't post here. I thought I did everything the same tagging wise as my other stuff that did show up, but I see this feed is moderated as well. Just wondering if there's something you know that got it caught? I don't really know how RSS feeds work tbh Thanks!
Hiya.
It’s the… chef Vi AU? I’ve seen it. Seems like a neat fic, quite promising (started following it myself, too :) and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the tags – so it’s not you. If you take a closer look, you’ll notice that no other fics are being posted at this time, either? It’s because there’s been an incident in which this blog has been caught in the crossfire that was about, you’ll guess – an inadequately tagged fic.
In short, certain ‘popular’ authors believe that they’re above common tagging courtesy, so when a disillusioned reader turned to this blog for reference – some of their servile friends and followers who (oh, the irony) never even followed/perused this blog in the first place – thought appropriate to start sending flak (for ‘vilifying the author’) against literally everyone… the mentioned reader, all others who spoke up, this blog, its moderator, her cats, her friggin’ kitchen sink – and flooded this inbox with ridiculous amounts of (of course, completely misplaced) childishly personal hatemail.
On account of that, and for the sake of sanity of the cats, as well as the kitchen sink – the mod took an (unnoticed, apparently?) break from screening/posting (which tbh, is a quite a bit of work) of any and all fics – while the vileness of that entire thing about the basic high-school mentality – got washed off.
I know, though. That does not seem to be fair towards all those nice people out there who have been following this feed as a handy source of fresh fanfic. Or the the new followers, despite the onslaught (which, sorry guys!), all relying on the others’ fic recs. And of course, all those other authors out there whose work deserves to be promoted, endorsed and presented to a wider Tumblr audience. People who have come to appreciate this feed for connecting new, appreciative readers with them – people like yourself, perhaps? For all of which I apologise, because that’s why your fic didn’t get posted at all.
So no, it’s not you. No. :(
