Time to once again fangirl about the delicious tension between these two. The beautiful way they were written and performed. How clearly the conflict and desire to exclude were based on a desire to protect (not to mention massive guilt) and disagreements over that. Also loved how there was zero possibility of any violence between them (maybe KGY might give him a shove, but that would be the extent of her actions, if any, I think), and the complex emotional undercurrents colouring their interactions.

Truly could not squee enough for these two, and especially in Ep 6, when Choi Yoon stepped closer during their altercation to make his points, the charged tension between them gave me thrills ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥😍🥵🤤 (that’s a shipper’s delusion for you; it’s the best 😎). The barely restrained anger and animosity (and concern) were so well conveyed, and the electricity sparked and lingered. ✨🤤🥵 (Even the way the tension was diffused - by YHP’s quip - was another opportunity for a laugh, and exceedingly reasonable given the context).

As much as I love the deepened and beautiful friendship/partnership they have built during the course of the show, the few instances of open conflict between them during the earlier segments of the show were a testament to the kind of chemistry they could exhibit when tensions were high. (Because those can easily be converted to another type of tension in my headcanons as a deluded shipper, yay 🥵🤤).
