yo, why she kinda..... got me kicking my feet and shit
on another note, this has to be the most convincing crossdressing I've seen in a chinese drama, along with Xie Xiang in Arsenal Military Academy. most dramas just throw a wig or a different outfit on the actress and expect us to believe everyone suddenly thinks she's a man lmao. almost didn't recognize Fan Shuaiqi... she is SO handsome
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
Being an adult will have you unironically craving a vegetable
Being an adult will have you unironically sad about a parasite outbreak in fresh vegetables.
MAWS' Clark & Lois by Rachel Chen.
perfect ending. absolutely perfect. i don't care for whatever season 2 hints they threw in cause it prob won't even happen so who cares.
in my head these two went off on their ghost spirit hunting adventures and happily stayed together forever, given that they quite literally went to hell and back to save each other's souls.
Meng Ziyi is walling Fan Shuaiqi with just the force of her eyes | Blossoms of Power episode 4
Fan Shuaiqi as Bu Shulin finally appears at about 35:50 in episode 4 of Blossoms of Power
simultaneously in yuribait with the cold calculating FL, and yaoihet with a fussy uptight righteous man; who is doing it like Bu Shulin
The flirting! The playfulness! **The borderline harassment of it** ๐คฃ everything about them so far is delicious
The Commandary Princess and I are close friends
Fan Shuaiqi as Bu Shulin in Blossoms of Power (็พ่ฑๆ 2026), episode 8
I don't have much to do right now so feel really drawn into thinking about Blossoms of Power.
And my conversation with IRL friends consists of showing them clips from of the poisoning scene etc and asking them if they like Bu Shulin, Shen Xihe or both.
If you are hesitating as to which prince to marry, consider the one who makes you smile.

also I'm so uncomfortable with a man being pushy with a woman, especially physically.
it really makes my my shoulders go up around my ears
and in a sense it might be unfair because Bu Shulin was very pushy with Cui Jinbai first, but I think the context of patriarchy matters. if she can overpower him physically it makes their relationship more equal and compelling. and fresh. if she feels helpless against him (even if only psychologically) it feels like the prison gates of patriarchy closing
also love it when a boisterous character full of life and vitality goes "that was just a brave facade, on the inside I'm just as boring as you"
