Uh, seriously though:

At the beginning of 2022 I bought an iPad so I could get back into making art. I’ve done a few pieces over that year, but I didn’t post them anywhere. And I drew this today for my beloved OC Ginger’s birthday and I actually like it (for now. I’ll find something to hate eventually).

So, I’m posting it! And I’ll probably post the other stuff I did in 2022 because hey, I did that, and it took time and effort and even if it doesn’t feel like it I HAVE improved as an artist.

I’m probably going to make an art Instagram as well, but I’ve recently come back to tumblr and I do have a little soft spot for the existence of this blog. And honestly, Tumblr feels much less intimidating than Instagram.

It was my character Ginger’s birthday today so I decided to draw her as a celebration! I haven’t drawn on my tablet for what feels like months, so it didn’t turn out quite like how I was hoping, but I still think it’s pretty good! Ginger is really special to me since she’s my first real character I’ve ever really created. So happy birthday to my wonderful Ginger-snap and here’s hoping 2017 brings a lot more of me working with my characters! Programs/materials used: Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 Wacom Bamboo tablet
