WOWEE LONG TIME NO POST I have posted on my Instagram since the last post here so!! If you are interested follow there @ paper.lights_ 🫶

Anywhoo, I’m absolutely totally normal and have regular normal thoughts about these two and don’t think about them and Holy Terrors every single day. Thank the High Gods and Low we’re less than a month away because I have been WAITING!!!

Many thoughts about the Hadestown pro shot so I listened to the OBCR again for old times sake and. Yeah got hit on multiple sides. So here we are!!

If you haven’t read Little Thieves and Painted Devils, then you absolutely should because obviously I am very enthusiastic about it. It’s beautifully and masterfully written and makes you laugh, cry, all the feelings. This particular scene is based on Painted Devils during the wedding Vanja and Emeric attend, and I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Did forget Vanja is wearing a rose wreath though, oopsie.

Also, listen to Hadestown because it’s a really beautiful musical! It’s folky, New Orleans jazz-y, Greek mythology. 10/10.

Still thinking about Gerard and Elody reunion where I was destroyed. SHE SAW HIS CORPSE. SHE THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD.

I’ve been wanting to draw Elody for a while because I have such brainrot for her and I think she is so neat and I just always want to see more of her all the time. I am an Elody apologist. An Elody truther.

I’m playing my first D&D game on Thursday. Here’s the character I created! She’s a half elf bard :)

The cast album for Between the Lines recently came out and I was itching to make some art for it! Practice makes perfect and I’m doing my best to try new things and grow as an artist.

Between the Lines is a new musical based on the book of the same name and stars Arielle Jacobs as Delilah, the main character. I’m such a fan of hers and she’s beautiful in the recording! You should check it out! I think it’s a loving adaptation of the book which I also really enjoyed.

Uh, seriously though:

At the beginning of 2022 I bought an iPad so I could get back into making art. I’ve done a few pieces over that year, but I didn’t post them anywhere. And I drew this today for my beloved OC Ginger’s birthday and I actually like it (for now. I’ll find something to hate eventually).

So, I’m posting it! And I’ll probably post the other stuff I did in 2022 because hey, I did that, and it took time and effort and even if it doesn’t feel like it I HAVE improved as an artist.

I’m probably going to make an art Instagram as well, but I’ve recently come back to tumblr and I do have a little soft spot for the existence of this blog. And honestly, Tumblr feels much less intimidating than Instagram.
