ginkotracks replied to your post “what if zuko/shouto repeatedly swap back and forth for a bit, like...”
Does this mean that the stuff they bring over stays in the universe they brought it to if they aren’t holding it when they switch back? If that makes sense...
Yes. Yes, it does.
When they switch over, they’re in their universe’s clothes (so Todoroki is in his school uniform or casual modern clothes, while Zuko is in robes). But then they change into something more appropriate for that world (so Zuko puts on a uniform or jeans, while Todoroki gets a Fire Nation look). Which means that when they switch back again and return to their proper worlds, they often leave behind their clothes. Todoroki has left his phone behind more than once. Which is one of the reasons why they formed the habit of trying to always have a bag or pouch on their person, so that they don’t keep leaving their stuff behind.
@ginkotracks said: For the AU thing: Aizawa finds out about OfA!
(:D This is a good one, alright!)
1. He’d have suspicions about it before he really knows. After all, isn’t it just a little bit suspicious that Toshinori favors Izuku, that Izuku seems to be getting more powerful as Toshinori weakens, that Izuku literally doesn’t know how to use his quirk, like a kid? But he dismisses the thought anyway, because there’s no way- that sort of thing only happens in movies
2. I’m not sure how he finds out, either dramatically with a villian proclaiming it, or in a safe setting- maybe Izuku & Toshi telling the teachers after All Might retires? But no matter how what he hears is “Izuku got his quirk from Toshinori” and the first association he makes is “Izuku is Toshinori’s son” which would also explain why they spend so much time together, why Toshinori asked to speak with the boy’s mother- his lover?- alone, and etc
3. He’s angry that the revelation wasn’t made clear earlier (and angrier still with himself for not realizing sooner) but he understands- the life of a pro-hero is hard. Not only would the populous probably have some choice words about the situation, but villians might try and take advantage of it. So he promises not to breathe a word of it to anyone.
4. Anyone includes Izuku and Toshi, who assume Aizawa just understands their shared quirk and not that he thinks they’re secretly father and son. This leads to a few awkward moments when Aizawa tiredly tells Izuku that “Your father wants you to take lunch with him” to try and minimalize the other student’s suspicions about All Might and Izuku not knowing/forgetting that they’re already pretty aware the two will take lunch together sometimes. (Izuku’s suitably confused about the father bit, but assumes Aizawa’s messing with him, after all he did refer to them both as ‘problem children’ once and made a joke about the apple not falling far from the tree, and besides maybe it’s just a way to keep their relationship undercover, that would make sense too, he can’t just announce that All Might wants to see him, yeah, that must be it-)
5. This does not stop the kids from gossiping, and now Todoroki’s ‘secret love child’ conspiracy theory gets very popular very fast. Aizawa ends up talking to them about it in a really roundabout way, something about how Pro-Heros need privacy with certain affairs, otherwise things can get really bad really fast- not confirming nor denying anything by a technicality, but making sure they all understand the risks at play. That particular theory dies down and gossip about All Might and Izuku in general ends up very low-key, as a safety precaution.
6. Izuku does not get his meaning and goes up to him afterwords to ask if that was about Endeavor and Todoroki because, really, maybe something needs to be done with that even if he’s not allowed to bring the situation to the police in case it goes public- which then sends Aizawa down the path of another child to worry about, and Izuku and Toshi’s situation is pushed from his mind for the time being.
Ahh, thank you very much!! This was super fun to think about, even if I’m sure Aizawa’s characterization isn’t 100% here XD (And tbh it a great re-introduction to the bnha-verse bc so many personal things have me unable to write anything it’s insane lmao. Thank you again!)
Send me an AU and I’ll write 5+ headcannons about it!
Hi hello it’s the sweater art person! I hope this isn’t weird or rude to ask (and if it is feel free to pretend I didn’t send this fkdnfkf ) but I noticed you mentioned having trouble with the latest chapter of I grow unforgiven and was wondering if I could help somehow? I have written fic before too, and know the struggle of being stuck (tis the worst). I would be happy to be a sounding board for ideas or anything like that! And if this is unwanted or unwelcome or weird or anything of the sort: I’m very sorry please forget I bothered you fkdnfkfnf
You're so sweet, Ginko!! Thank you, but I think it's just because my fixation has switched to Baldur's Gate (again) for the moment. I've got a couple of one-shots I'm gonna write to get it out of my system, then get back to IGU. I will finish it, as soon as my ADHD lets me.
A Very Important question that has been on my mind for a while: do paski in the Unity colony understand the universal ‘up’ gesture that human kids make? I don’t know why I want to know this so bad but I do ^^’ also I would love to know more about Mongke!!
Paski can probably figure it out.
And is there anything in particular you want to know about Mongke?
