Let's be honest. Kinsey was polyamorous, and when she had to choose between the two guys, Scot and Gabe, she never chose Scot. He was the second choice she settled for when Gabe turned out to be Dodge. And judging by how she reacted to Dodge's appearance in season 3, she clearly still had some feelings for him. Throughout the entire show, Kinsey treated Scot rather poorly, and I think that remains true right up to the end. In fact, once he finally became Kinsey's endgame, he practically disappeared from the show. He serves as Kinsey's romantic compensation, her reward for all the suffering. Narratively, it's Scot's main role throughout the entire show. Kinsey love Scot, yeah it's true. But clearly for me not as much as she loved Gabe. This is one of the rarer love triangle scenarios where the heroine ends up, due to circumstances, with the man she loves the least. Think of True Blood with Sookie & Eric, The Phantom of the Opera with Erik & Christine, the CDrama Lost You Forever with Xiang Liu & Xiao Yao, Charmed with Phoebe & Cole, etc. All these couples don't end up together, and yet they were the heroine's true great loves.
