this is such a funny thing to point out. like. Wow surge isn't Visibly More American than other gym leaders in the english language version. i sure wonder why.
they shouldve made surge shout burger every few words so that english speaking players can easily tell he's supposed to be american. since yknow english doesn't have a separate alphabet for words from other languages (also american english's more of a dialect, not another language) nor does it have much words you can use to indicate a character is more american than others. and americans love burger so that'd work quite well.
