heyyyy i've got a quick question for ya. I'm looking into making and selling charms myself, and I know you use Big Cartel for your stuff, which is looking really promising to me. I know full well you're not an authority, but has it been a pleasant experience using their product? I remember from ordering from you in the past it was a good customer experience with great delivery (ty for that <3), but as the seller is it good for you too?
--Thanks for your time, whatever the response.
Bigcartel is probably the most straightforward storefront you can find, it's a super quick setup and has a free base tier (but it only lets you upload up to five products sadly) and is fully customizable with html with a few starting themes to choose from
Generally my experience has been pretty pleasant so far in the past six years and the only real thing that annoyed me was the change in price of the silver tier from 10 to 15 USD a month (the reason I opted to close my other store and consolidate both into one)
They have good customer service, take feedback seriously and are responsive to any questions you might have, which is always an important aspect of any commerce platform to me personally (something Etsy is abhorrent with)
They let you connect various other services to your account and store, such as Pirate ship (imo the best US based shipping service cause they offer the lowest costs + have insanely good customer support), MainChimp (newsletter site so you can send people that sign up emails about new products and such) and prinful (made to order clothing and homeware they print and ship)
But all in all I'd say as a seller they've been mostly good to me and I've been able to run my business smoothly on their platform without any fear of getting falsely flagged, copyright struck or fucked over in terms of my money being held hostage (ETSY)
I'd recommend it personally, just as I was once recommended it by a friend!
